Thx, I love that I found your review about this tent using with a family. That’s the exact purpose we are looking into. Thank you!

It’s DCF (Dyneema Composite Fabric) not DFC. Also Ruta Locura also makes a pole jack that lets you use this tent with 1 trekking pole. I own and love this shelter.

Yeah, I cringe a bit when I watch me invert the acronym. But, when trying to get something out every week, I make mistakes 🤷. Didn't know about the pole jack. I'll check it out!

@Trump Sucksbaboonballs That's cool. Just took a look. I added an update in the description and some links to them on my website, on the page that goes with this video: www.shortguysbetaworks.com/all-blogs/62rke8klk3nh4vye148riyy55vkkk8-pbkkr Thanks for the update!

Been really happy with mine. Some people that live in really densely forested areas 🌲🌲🌲 don't like the size of the footprint: find it too big and limiting. But for where my family does our stuff, it has worked great!

How’s the floor hold up to your dogs nails
@ShortGuysBetaWorks3 жыл бұрын
@ Drew G While dyneema is supposed to be less puncture resistant (but more tear resistant) than silnylon (because silnylon stretches and dyneema doesn't), we haven't had any issues with either punctures or abrasion on the tent floor. There is a thicker fabric on the floor (still dyneema), and we've had it on soft and hard surfaces of all kinds. No doggie punctures... or any other punctures of any kind, for that matter.

Lashing the poles is a cinch really no hassle just learn how to use the straps….

Sure, it's not hard, just more work than using the available carbon fiber pole (if you want one). More weight and higher price versus convenience (a little) at setup and (a lot) if you want to leave the tent up while hiking around w/ your trekking poles (which we do a lot, leaving it as a basecamp).

5:58, DCF dude not DFC 🙄

Yeah, there was another comment about that, and I wince every time I hear it. But the rest of the info is (I hope) pretty good), so I keep it up and live with the embarrassment 🤣. Doing a video and a short every week, there are some stupid mistakes from time to time. Thanks for watching!
