Awesome, exactly what I was trying to find. Having a fairly quiet bike is underrated. My other bike is way to damn loud. The hyper stock already has a pretty good sound to it

I have just bought the decat, does the bike need a servo eliminator and a remap?

The difference was more noticeable at idle. Technically it is ilegal to remove the catalytic converter where I live. I opted for SC Project pipes while leaving the cat in place. Weight saving is real when it is about unsprung weight.

I do hope removing the cat will be illegal on my country, i dont understand why they do that? Just replace it with aftermarket and add a resonator... jesus this almost straight pipe exhaust system sound so unpleasant

@@daytonasayswhat9333 : As I understand it and its definition, it's not the cat: Unsprung mass Motive: Handling The unsprung mass of a vehicle is the mass of the suspension, wheels or tracks, and other components directly connected to them. This contrasts with the sprung mass supported by the suspension, which includes the body and other components within or attached to it. Components of the unsprung mass include the wheel axles, wheel bearings, wheel hubs, tires, and a portion of the weight of driveshafts, springs, shock absorbers, and suspension links. Brakes that are mounted inboard are part of a vehicle's sprung - It would seem that having a large lunch would affect unsprung weight, right? I'm running a pair of SC Project plus a dry clutch. That's plenty of noise already.

@@Ramon51650 unsprung weight savings is obviously better, as you note. Weight savings is still real. Roughly, every 7 to 9 pounds you drop of sprung weight equates to about one effective horsepower gain. It’s all about power to weight ratio. You’re right, all of those dynamics of unsprung weight or even more multiplicative. But Sprong weight still matters!

Are you sure? Because all of them who decat their bike usually go for upmap or custom tune.. just asking for feedback before buying decat pipe.

Lohnt es sich? Höre nur bedingt einen Unterschied. Was aber vielleicht die goldene Mitte darstellt. Habe den Mivv MK3 drauf mit original KAT. Definitiv lauter als stock mit dcat.

does it affect performance or throttle response in low rpm in particular, and what about over run ?

Everyone goes with these expensive slip Ons. I think decat is the way to go nine times out of 10. Way cheaper better weightsavings

irgendwo zwischen Stock und SC Project. Hat mich selbst gewundert, dass das ohne Kat nicht sooo laut ist. Ich mache diesbezüglich die Tage noch ein ausführliches Video dazu
