I watched your other vids on your build and just wanted to post and say, "Great Job". If any one can see past the glam of the cab they can see how much thought went into this build.

Honestly, hyperspin cab on top of a mini fridge... best... idea... EVAR I think the only way I'd make it different is by getting a smaller mini fridge and making a complete cabinet with a door, probably put an eject button on the side instead of having a handle sticking out of the front, maybe magnets or something. I dunno, random thoughts, keep up the good work man. :D

Great build man! Ever wonder about building the ultimate 4 way gaming cab? Anyways just wonderin' what was the name of the controller hardware and software you put into that thing, was it i-pack or i-paq sumthin'? Is it free?

Thanks for the videos. Most others don't even give you a glimps into the box without revealing the setup inside because of their wanting to sell you one instead of teaching you how to design and build one. Have you seen Dreamhome Arcades videos? That guy builds beautiful cabinets or pedestals with Hyperspin. But does not show how to build them. He wants your business for around $2400 to $4500. That's okay with me. But I don't have that kind of money. Wish I could just build one myself.

In terms of improving hardware, I would recommend some sort of controller setup. I use Wii Classic controllers (with a usb adapter) because they are amazing quality and the D-pads are great, also they can work with pretty much all systems including N64 and were made to do so by Nintendo. If you do use some controllers, I would recommend using a very nice piece of software paired with them called JoyToKey to map the controller buttons to your same keyboard keys as your standard arcade controls.

Nice little cab, tell me would you consider putting an SSD instead of that mechanical one you have. I have a 500 Samsung SSD and the difference is night and day faster than a mech. Sorry if this has been asked before
@FifthDread
@FifthDread 8 жыл бұрын
Of course I'd love to put an SSD in the cab! I just don't have a spare one laying around. One of these days though, it will happen. That's the main reason I have the boot drive on a separate drive in my build... So I can upgrade it to an SSD later.

U mentioned a guy on forums.. I was wondering if you could tell me where you ended up getting your decals printed? I need to find a place. Thx and cool cab I am building one similar

+cottonproductions It's been quite some time since I contacted him, so I would really have to dig for his contact info. Look around on the hyperspin forums. There are lots of threads discussing this very topic. It shouldn't be too tough to find. Good luck!

ok.. btw, I tried to register for your website but you have it locked down too tight because of you forum spam issues I guess. I have ran a forum before and know the struggle but I was only trying to download the 3d model for your arcade to check one measurement so maybe you could just tell me. What is the distance from your screen, to the edge of the marquee? I have my plans finalized as of last night and need to print tomorrow but I am afraid my marquee is sticking out too far at 7 3/4 inches from the screen. It would be VERY helpful to know this tonight if possible... I can reduce the length by about 1 1/2 inches but not sure if it worth redoing the template for it. Thx

wow that was a quick response, just looking at your Bartop lessons learned video, would have been great to have had simitsu clear buttons to show your decal better
@FifthDread
@FifthDread 8 жыл бұрын
+menacegtr Yeah I read every comment on my channel. I don't respond to all of them though. lol Never heard of simitsu buttons until now. They look nice! I'll look into them. I'm going to be upgrading my cabinet here in a year or so when my son can start playing on it (Just had a baby) so I'm sure to customize it a little with new buttons and joysticks.

BJ lol..that made me laugh. If you want hardware idea's, i have a couple that ive used on my upright home build. Aim-track light guns for one..this was one of the main reasons for building my cab in the first place (you cant beat a good ole arcade shoot em up) I have 2 setup and its awsome :)

Upgrade to the latest hyperlaunch and use djvj's latest module and that should fix the menu bar from showing. It worked for me. Im on my fourth cabinet build with 2.5tb worth of games. Hyperspin is a blast.

not meaning to troll or anything but a fridge .... bad idea, it has a gas canister that cannot be subject to any type of shock, let alone with an arcade cab on top of it....but whutever looks good but you might wanna make a frame round the fridge but not touching it.
