What I noticed with the same exact product is when you press the switch away from the light that's what keeps the light on and off, but If you press the switch in the opposite direction towards the light is what keeps the light on, it doesn't turn off. I have mines set for 30 seconds.

I bought the same light from WalMart. This light goes where no other light fixtures will go. A location that someone doesn't want to run new wires and do the whole electrical set up. Mine has worked perfectly going on 2 years now. The only thing I had to do was after a year clean off the solar and light panels due to pecan tree seasonal mess. Its a good security light, BUT remember this light has no handy on and off switch on the wall like a electrical light fixture, I other words, You can't go throw the trash out at night in your underwear.

I have the 3 & 2 light types!! Total of 3 Hyper Tough solar motion lights !! A good sunny day & panels aimed at sun propely.... they work fine!! I have them set for a minute! Some idiot cut my panel to light wires! Why? Idk! Same day he knocked on the door to the house where RING was located(BUSTED!)! Stole an item from the unlocked shed! Now he's on the Cops radar! I think this idiot thought these lights were hooked to a security system! Now we have security cameras on the property! Sad you can't have anything! We don't have much & some individuals still trying to take from ya! These lights are still working!! I had to reconnect the wires & hide the wires better to keep thieves from trying to steal $30-$40 cheap Walmart lights!! One light took longer to start back up!! I turned it off for one day to allow it to fully recharge batteries! Also made sure the panels were positioned in the sun during the day properly!! They been working fine going on a year now! Walmart has replacement batteries for these lights too! Guess we'll see how long these things hold up! Make sure you place your solar panels in a good productive energy gathering area !! Don't get mad if you have them in high shaded areas.... or very clouded overcast days!! Some dark gloomy rainy days in rows can give them a poor performance at times! Remember its solar! You run them in on position long time they'll drain down! Be prepared to allow them to charge back up... possibly in the OFF position to catch back up! Simple enough!?

5:34 ooo, you show the screen of the solar panel but cut the base out of the view. That was the specific thing I was needing to know about. I do see it after you mention 3 mounting screw places. *This is different than the one I have, which has a square base and 4 mounting holes. I'm pretty sure I'm missing a piece, like a plate that goes on the back to mount it.

I didn't see anybody commenting on why you didn't mount it higher up and place the solar cells on the South facing wall/eve where it would get the most amount of sunlight on a regular basis... Also where the heck is the continuation of this .. what did HyperTough do??? Yah just left us hanging

Due to where I wanted it, I was only able to place it there. Sadly, even with bringing it inside and under a lamp, the battery never recharged. I never heard back from their support so I counted it as a loss. Many other seemed to have had the same issue.

Don't expect long "ON" switch usage from a battery powered solar charged motion light! It's design mainly for Motion detection up to a minute or so!! My 120 AC voltage motion lights stay on 10-12 minutes! U get what ya pay for!! Solar motion lights are great for saving energy & putting them where you don't have AC power!! Perfect for our smaller non powered shed!

I paid about $40 bucks ! It’s the same motion lights on this video (3 lights & 2 light type!) & well worth what it’s being used for👌 Still working going on 2 years! Solar is not gonna stay lit all night!!( u can override the selector button ..& it’ll have to recharge later) You can use 120 volt type to stay on longer! Any brand Walmart Lowe’s etc sales! Look on the back some stay on 10 mins to 12 mins! Solar lights are good for areas you don’t have ac voltage access! My daughters were coming home to a pitch dark house with wooded area near by!!! (Have heard wild dogs/coyote packs!) There’s a shed (they park behind!) with no power to it! I mounted 2 lights there & one on a telephone pole with no lights! “PROBLEM SOLVED FAR AS LIGHTING” If u don’t place the solar panel in a gd spot & angle to the sun….. it’s not gonna work gd either!! Towards the end of this video looks like it’s in the shade!!!!! He might as well go thru the attic with 120 volt ac & install a motion light in that location!?

I was like you.. I had already bought mine before I read the reviews but I went ahead and installed it anyway since I already paid for it... To my surprise it worked great! I’ve had mine for about a month and a half now and it’s worked perfectly... I’m sure there are some that don’t work but I’ve bought and put up two more since then and they are all working fine.. I don’t know how these people got such bad ones but all mine has worked fine. 🙂 My advice, Give them a try, they’re easy to install and easy to return at Walmart if you happen to get one that don’t work.

I'm going on a year with these same lights! I have no problem using 120 volt Ac motion lights! Use LED low energy bulbs & your saving on your power bill! No motion the lights don't come on! Great not wasting energy right?! Solar motion lights are ok especially if u have no AC power in certain areas of the property. I've been satisfied with my Hyper Tough solar motion lights! About a year now. I actually have 4 of them! One in the front 3 on the side around the small non AC powered shed! On 5 acres of property ! Gets dark! I want my daughters to pull in at night to a well lit area !! They love it!

I've been satisfied with mine also! I have noticed cloudy dark gloomy days in a row can result in the lights not wrkg as good! That's probably to be expected at times? A good sunny day.... they work fine at night! It's solar! Some people complain at what they don't realize, make sure the panels are getting a lot of sun & it'll work fine most of the time!
@PHanomaly

I live in the desert, where solar is routine, so I'm always surprised when people don't understand the basics about needing sun to charge the panel. It's shade we can't get enough of in the desert, lol.

@orlandojohnson5742
@orlandojohnson5742 3 жыл бұрын
Make sure your solar panels are facing the sun majority of the day! If your panels are shaded from the sun the system won't work as well! Dark cloudy days in a row will have an affect on the performance of the lights also! Turning OFF at first helps get the system off to a good start! Use for motion detection mode majority of the time! overriding the ON switch will drain the batteries! Which leads back to the beginning process. Turning it off to allow a better charge for initial use again. U want permanent lights ... wire up a 120 volt AC motion light?! Solar lights are ok! I have both! Ac & solar motion lights! Don't let the misinformed customer steer u away from something that actually works. If u live where you don't get good sunlight .... solar may not be a good option for you?! I had to reposition one of my panels !! I noticed one of my solar lights worked better than the other! The culprit was where I had the panel.

If you're gonna do reviews atleast read the damn included instructions 🤦 how tf people supposed to rely on you as an credible source of information whwn you can't spend 3 minutes reading a trifold pamphlet. And if you had taken that three minutes you would have clearly read where it has three modes motion on, steady on, and off and it doesn't take an engineering degree to figure out that you had it in steady on not to mention how in the heck do you not know what a 3.7 lithium cell battery is but you have a solar set up at home? The only thing this video showed me is where not to go for a credible review on products.
