Today we’re looking at the new mic from HyperX which is a direct competitor to the Blue Yeti, the QuadCast. This is a USB Multi-pattern condenser microphone designed as a Streaming Mic, Gaming Mic, and Discord Mic. The mic does a decent job at rejecting background noise (while on the cardioid polar pattern), and the shock mount also does a decent job at rejecting bumps of the desk. However, the mic does suffer from serious plosive issues. The A/D conversion maxes out at 16-bit/48kHz, and all around it’s just an alright mic, in my opinion.
