HyperX SoloCast Review | Great Sound Quality Affordable Budget

The HyperX SoloCast at first glance can seem like a basic and cheap microphone. This too is what I first thought. And I could not have been more wrong about the HyperX SoloCast!
This is a great minimalist microphone that can be worked into nearly and desk setup for recording, podcasting, gaming, streaming and so much more! The sound quality is very crisp and clear. However it does not come without a few minor flaws, no volume control unless you utilize the Ngenuity software from HyperX, cheaply made base, and no built in pop filter. Even with these flaws you can overcome them and not spend a bunch of extra cash.
After recording 10 videos on my HyperX SoloCast the past 2 weeks I have had it, I can honestly say I am very satisfied with my purchase, and I know you will be too!

It is on the way... My requirements are like it should reduce wind noise, background noise and solve echo problem. I also ordered boom arm and pop filter with it. Before solocast I was thinking about Boya By MM1 mic. Any suggestion from your side??

I have not personally used the Boya by MM1 so I do not have much insight there. I will say however that the Hyper X has solved all of the previous complaints I had previously. Any of my videos where I have a mic on a boom arm that is the Maono A04 mic. I felt that mic had clear sound, but I could not get that crisp or loud enough for how I would like, at least without it getting to a point where there would be like a white noise hum in my audio. Currently I record in a pretty wide open room, I have no sound dampening material or anything. And I have not experienced any echo with the solocast. What are your current recording conditions that you feel cause the echo?

How do you reduce noise from the desk and the keyboard, have you tried steelseries sonar noise cancellation?

@thegoodhood i actually have not tried that, my current secret is if you watch my video closely I'm very careful with my arms on my desk. But that is a good idea for a video for me to run some tests on how to reduce that noise. I appreciate your comment

@@techspotlight21 I would buy the solocast for some teams calls, but I am afraid of the desk noise that I hear in the video. What other microphones can I consider similar to this one?

@thegoodhood at this point the only microphones I have used is the solocast, the maono AU-A04 which I'm working on a review, and my all time favorite the anker m300 which my kids broke unfortunately. I do have a video uploaded on my channel using that one. My recommendation if the solocast sound seems the best would be getting a desktop stand or boom arm with a shock mount, you can remove the mic and put it in one which would help. Just trying to answer based on the few mics I have hands on experience with. I hope this helps!

@thegoodhood i have heard good things about the razer sairen mini, that's definitely been on my radar to check out. Whatever you decide let me know what you get. That will give me good ideas for future videos.
