HEY that’s me with that AWFUL peel off mask. At the time of purchase I was a struggling college student, went into Walgreens, and bought a $1.99 peel off mask...CLEARLY a terrible decision and I got what I paid for! But I appreciate you for being so sweet. I got so much crap for this but you were very informative and understanding. Thank you 💙

EDIT: for all of you arguing whether he is right or wrong, i think you're missing the point of my comment. He's consistent. Why is that good? Well, it means hes not likely to hop on a trendy brand and feed you a bunch of bs because he is after some clout. He also always says to try things and find what works best for you. idk, he pretty much hates on every video he sees and even though in the beginning he claimed he was a professional, he acts as though he is one. And a lot of his info is wrong. Like he hates on DIY skincare but its like DUDE how do you think they did it in the beginning. They took a bunch of random herbs and shit form nature and diy it to put on there face and it has worked for years. I watched a video were he was tearing into this chick for using a certain face peel recipe thats been around since ancient egypt that works. And all he said was " idk were she got that info but its wrong ." when it wasnt.
@alyssa40114 жыл бұрын
WiseWillow he “acts” like a professional and hates to add a bit of excitement into his videos. much of his info actually isn’t wrong, your “trustable sites” aren’t always trustable. and yes, in the beginning they did put a ton of herbs and all that into their face in the beginning, but were not in the beginning anymore and it has been *proven* that most diy skincare ideas they used aren’t beneficiary to the skin in any way and some can even harm your skin.

My " sites" are the books Iv read over the last 17 years ( that includes sites i guess) as a Eclectic wiccan who follows a loose polytheistic path, whos really into natural remedies im not a professional and i dont act like one. I make it clear that that I am in no way a a professional and I dont turn around and go " but this is facts and im right 100% and there wrong" like he does. and idk were your getting your info but most skincare diy from back than are way better than the skin care we have now bc its all natural and not full of chemical. Which half the stuff he swears by is full of man made chemicals. sorry if im going to stick to the routine thats been working since forever and not an entitled guy on youtube.

@@wisewillow7530 ok but have you seen dermatologists youtuber or chemical PhD youtuber consistently said that natural doesnt equal better or safer? When I had used the mask before, I had cleansed and toned my face and toned again after. The product says to use on a dry face, so I thought today since it was the last time I would use it, I'd forego what I had done before. How very, very wrong I was. It hurt peeling that mask off, like 10x worse than I had felt it before. It took me forever to peel it off. Never again! Friendly educational bit: When you feel stuffed up around your eyes, nose, cheeks and brows those are actually your sinuses and not lymph nodes causing that problem! Your sinuses (hollow cavities to lighten the weight of your skull) become filled with fluid and then create that said “stuffiness”. Lymph nodes on the other hand are found mainly below your jawline (on your neck) and around your ears. To assist drainage you’d actually want to massage downward towards them. 😊
@Sam.osborne__4 жыл бұрын
Alexis Hague was thinking that lmao

@sammymutante4 жыл бұрын

@Steelcarafe4 жыл бұрын
Yes! In the case of the actual lymph nodes, below the jaw line as Alexis Hague mentioned, people should not try to drain those while ill. According to my doctor, massaging the lymph nodes too much can actually push a lot of the bacteria, debris, and dead cells, that the node has been intentionally trapping, back into the system. It can apparently make you feel worse again. Lesson: massaging sinuses= probably fine. Massaging lymph nodes = best not.
@UndeadEyes4 жыл бұрын
More friendly info from an LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist), the lymphatic system is incredibly fragile and closes easily (for hours) if you press too hard. Lymphatic drainage massage is a very gentle process. Also, to the person who said don't massage when sick, this is true. This also goes for lymphatic cancer. When you get a massage when sick, you are spreading the illness faster through your system, and this can make you become sick a lot quicker and a lot worse. As for massaging sinuses, light tapping over the sinus cavities is ideal. We use this technique (tapotement = to strike/slap) to help clear the sinuses sometimes after we have our clients turned back up because they often get a stuffy nose while face down.

He's unlikely to answer private messages, think of all the messages he gets on daily basis. Stop any scrubs and tools. Start a minimal gentle cleanser/moisturizing/spf routine every single day free of fragrances and avoid harsh ingredients (like strong surfactants and alcohol). Once the "hickeys" are gone go for one of the salicylic acid products Hyram recommends and maybe an over the counter benzoyl peroxide (only for spot treating active breakouts, never to be applied all over because it can be very drying). And consider going to a dermatologist if it's possible for you.

Alexa Balsam , I use Niacinamide from the ordinary, I use there 30% salicylic acid mask (the red one from the ordinary) once a week or once every two weeks, helped with my scaring ALOT, also use Paulas choice 2% perfecting serum, Paulas choice barrier repair moisturizer, and also for fun I use the corse RX snail mucin essence. Stopped using fragrance completely and I’m super gentle with my skin. Also use pimple patches so I don’t pick and sunscreen.

Ava Cado I mean I refuse to touch any of them not even lay a finger, I love using that ordinary serum as well as the dermalogica clear start cleanser with .5% salicylic acid and the booster with 2%. As well I just started using the neutrogena stubborn acne spot treatment , not sure if I like or not, the patches are nice but get expensive when u keep buying them. Also I think it’s good to just let ur pimple breathe every once a while so I avoid makeup on the weekends

Do you have high blood sugar levels? Because if so, lowering your sugar intake will help. Also, they can actually be shadows, depending on your facial structure. You can say they aren’t genetic, but “genetic” doesn’t necessarily mean your entire family must have it for you to have it as well; it means what you have is what you have, and cannot be changed, because that’s how your skin is - like with pores. Many people who have very dark circles have them naturally, and unfortunately you can’t fight it.

@@Hyram They actually don't. Sansevieria (snake plants) don't need a lot of water, however it is possible to keep them in a vase. Letting them dry up sometimes will keep them from rotting. Look at the leaves, not the water level to tell if they need water or not. Your snake plants are looking gorgeous and healthy (so jealous!). Follow Planterina on youtube for more info.

3:08 I think he means sinuses here instead of lymph nodes. When you get cold and feel stuffy around your nose, that's because there's excess mucus in your sinus. I'm just a college student going into the med field, so please correct me if I'm wrong c:
@scouttyra4 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty certain of that too. Fun fact: I had sinusitis when I was too young (according to the doctors) to have sinuses. The doctors sent us to the dentist who sent us back to the doctors. My mom insisted that it was sinusitis (she has a tendency to get it) and ended up being right.

digging the respectful corrections; look at you making everyone smarter :) i love it! I feel like he legit meant to say lymph nodes but mixed up some information. From what I can tell, those rollers are intended to help with lymphatic drainage so any fluid in the skin should GENTLY be directed toward the lymph nodes in the neck. It should also never be done after slapping yourself since that effectively closes the lymphatic vessels, trapping all fluids right where they are.

I thought the same, but you know what, if she doesn't want to go over her boyfriend's with some pimples and wants to get spotless for him, what's the problem? She might just not like showing up with huge pimples, which I totally get. Even if I'm just going to meet up quickly with friends, if I've got noticeable zits I'll try to cover them somehow, just because I want to. I'm definitely not scared that my friends will abandon me or shame me, but c'mon. I don't like to look at acne, I don't want to sit there with a zit. Especially if I'm dressing up or something.
