Tito is on the money. As a fleet owner I would recommend these tips two owners and renters alike. The key is in the inspection I would say. For owners I would record and take pictures of everything even pictures that are not submitted to the checkout platform for the renters Shadow the owner with pictures and or a video. I do weekly inspections like it or not. These weekly inspections help keep you the owner and the renter on the ball and spot issues. Remember in one week the car is doing as much work as one month of normal driving put that in perspective.

Recommended you give the car a cleaning before returning it to the owner. As an owner I try to make the renter feel special I will come to your location and pick the car up off you. It's nice to feel like royalty but not when you're renter neglects your equipment.

Adolfo A hey my friend great question I rented out a Toyota Corolla but I would recommend to start low and cheap and see where it takes u from there so like a Nissan Sentra, HONDA civic in that ball park and also look for black or leather interior where it won’t get dirty as often.As an owner it depends on many things but you can make up to $1000ish. Jack L. Well u have to look at the rental PRICE first and then work your way around that I would recommend Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Honda Civic, etc. start cheap and see how it goes

I rented a car for $250 week that was over Thanksgiving and that include everything even insurance. That was with HERTZ and Hertz sucks butthe price was pretty good

@@titohustles I lived in Jersey as a kid, but my rental was in Ft. Lauderdale, FL I had to write a scathing Hertz customer survey. The customer service was so bad compared to Enterprise and Dollar. There was no coordination whatsoever with the UBER hub and I lost 3 days from the7 day rental. Then when I returned the car they threatened me with a cleaning fee. Google: Hertz cleaning fee and read about the public relations disaster it was. The KIA Forte i rented I had to take to Pep boys, all the tires were low, on the Turnpike the balance and alignment were so off the car wobbled and shook. The people at the office asked me why I didn't call or return the car? I said I'd rather get hit by a semi truck because of the lemon you gave me than to deal with you clowns in the office playing on your smartphones when you should be tending to customers. You will not be treated like a Hertz customer, but you will be treated like an Uber rentor scum lol

Thnks for this. What are you doing now? Still driving for uber/lyft? I'm out of los angeles, ca.. I just put my prius out on hyrecar. Let's see how it goes. But, I would say...buy your own car. If you had to pay $800 bucks a month for car renting you could be paying towards the purchase of a 40 to 50 thousand dollar car. I know it's about credit. hey when you pick up the car do you pay everything at once or when you drop it off ? also does it matter if it's daily weekly or monthly and when you rented it how fast do you get with uber and lyft if it's a new car

Street Pineapple #1 your card gets charged at the Beginning when the owner accepts your application to rent the car. #2 If the owner approves you then you will have to pick it up the next day because insurance take about a day or less to process. The longer you rent the cheaper it will be than if you rent it ok the daily price. They want you to rent it more that's how they make more money so they give a little cheaper price if u rent weekly or monthly. #3 Lyft/Uber for new drivers takes out 2 days or less but if your already a driver then about a day or less then that.

David D.Y. Chang yeah your right it can be a little expensive but then again your making an investment. $1200/30 days of the month brings you to about $40 a day. Also don't forget about the gas and ez pass per month.

Todo, If your looking to drive for Uber and Lyft and are a new driver how long does the process take from when you first contact Uber, Lyft, or both and then contact Hyre Car.....from when your aloud to start driving and making money. To make it simple, Is there a delay from when you pick up the car and start paying for it, and from when Uber and Lyft will approve you to start driving ? Like do you have to get the car first and take it to Uber to be inspected or file the paperwork. If I do this I don't want to get stuck paying for the rental for say the first 2 days when I can't get approved to drive by Uber or Lyft. Also I'm in NJ

Also when you rent the car and pay the $200 deposit for say a week...and your plan is to keep renting weekly, do you have to keep paying the $200 deposit or does it carry over ?

Jason Beyer Great Questions if your new then it should take u about a week or less depending on how fast you do everything. The part that takes the longest is the Uber background check which takes 1-2 days. Also HyreCar has a background check as well takes about the same time. So do both at the same time and once your done with the background check from BOTH then rent the car from Hyre car. Anything else after that takes a few minutes. @@titohustles 4 periods means: Period 0 when you're offline. Period 1 When your searching. Period 2: you picked the client and you're about to pick them up. Period 3: you're driving with the client.

Johnny Kush Gaming Great questions thanks for asking yes you can keep extending the car for as long as you need it. Now of course at one point the car will need some maintenance or an oil change so you have to let the owner know when a maintenance light appears on your dashboard

Jesse Miguel Great question at the time of the release of this video Uber was accepting insurance from Hyre Car. I contacted Uber Support today and asked them if they are still accepting insurance from Hyre car and their response was NO not anymore, but I believe Lyft still is.

Real Tito yeah uber support told me the same thing, but hyrecar called me and said that they have changed their insurance and that uber accepts them now, I rented a Prius from someone on Craigslist it was a cab company kinda sketchy but we will see, btw this is in the Chicago area hertz is currently the only one renting cars for rideshare and it’s almost impossible to get one right away there’s about a 3 week wait time according to hertz reps

Bovina 23 no the deposit is only at the beginning of the rental if u choose to extend they will ONLY charge u for the extension and NOT for deposit again.

Last question, if you're a new applicant for lyft, do you have to get the hyrecar rental first before entering registration and license plate number? And the insurance you input is given through hyrecar?

Jojo Ghartey yes because you need the registration and insurance from the rental car to start diving for lyft/Uber. Before you drive though make sure to sign up with a referral code or bonus it's worth it. Do lyft first because the bonus is bigger then you can check out Uber. Jojo Ghartey the registration will never have your name but Uber and Lyft don't care about that they care that the insurance has your name on it. For the hyre car question yes u can but try to stick around a budget for example I don't rent a car daily no more than $40 List Price, weekly no more than $250, and monthly no more than $800. You can make some money stay around downtown, airports, malls, public and busy locations. What state are u driving in?
