One thing to remember is that the Sheika need not be a race, but rather a culture. They are never described as a race, but rather a tribe. Notice that we did not see male Sheika until Botw and even then they clearly live in a matriarchial society. Therefore it is possible that the Sheika are actually Gerudo or both tribes come from the same ancestry. This may also explain how they are so rare and vulnerable to extinction.

I don’t think Impaz is waiting for Zelda. I think she is waiting for who she calls “the messenger to the heavens” and that’s Link. The reason she’s waiting for him is to give him the sky book. When you get the sky book from her she talks about how glad she is she stayed and about her people and the Oocca’s relation to the royal family.

I'm more inclined to believe that Twilight Princess happens 100, arguably 200 years after OOT. Hyrule's topography in TP is so massively different from OOT's, something must have happened during that time to make such drastic changes. No way 2-3 decades can shift a Kingdom as large as Hyrule and create what we see in TP. Its worth noting that the sign in front of the hidden village reads 'Old Kakariko' in Hylian Language, which pretty much solidifies that the Hidden Village was OOT Kakariko. Though why is it so hard to access compared to OOT is a mystery. Who blocked the entrance with massive boulders? the monsters themselves, or an earthquake? Maybe the village's decline happened because the Royal Family saw no use for the Sheikah at this point in time. It was an era of peace after all, and the Sheikah didn't have the powers of clairvoyance as strong as they did in BoTW. It stands to reason that the Sheikah fell into decline because a normal life wasn't something they were accustomed to; like telling a trained assassin that there's no more killing to be done. It doesn't quite work like that, and without a purpose, the Sheikah eventually either fled the village or like Impaz, stayed behind, but at some point died due to lack of good food, water and such (seriously, how was Impaz feeding herself?) I do recall reading somewhere that the Sheikah were intended to have a greater role in TP, but due to time constraints, whatever role they had was cutoff. I mean, they're not even mentioned by name in the game, similar to how OOT Link is not mentioned by name, only as 'the Hero', who left behind the Hero's Bow for his eventual successor at Death Mountain. This does pose another question though. Since TP takes place post Child-Timeline, what happened to Bongo-Bongo in this timeline? wouldn't he still be sealed away in the well?. Though if the well is buried now (You don't see a well in the hidden village), I guess it doesn't matter. Just an interesting observation.

I'd say TP, WW, and ALttP all take place around 200 years after OOT. Between OOT and TP they had to move the ToT back to the forest and thus have it be back in it's original resting place, and the. Enough time like 50 years had to pass for it to fall into ruin. That said the Arbiters Grounds IS NOT the Spirit Temple, unless you assume there's a VERY LARGE gap of time between Ganondorf being outed by OOT Link and him being captured by the Hylians and sent to be executed. Likewise with Ganondorf on the run and possibly being aided by at least some of the Gerudo I dont see why the Gerudo would just willingly allow the Hylians to build over their Temple when they're not exactly on friendly terms with one another. Likewise even in the scene where Ganondorf is executed the Arbiters Grounds looks somewhat decayed, meaning it's likely older than OOT and was likely built by both the Hylians and the ancestors of the Gerudos. Anyways, that aside, we also have to account for Zoras Domain moving, a Zora king waiting for a hero to build tunics for, and a new Kakariko to come about and slowly become abandoned itself, not to mention castle town expanding, Lon Lon Ranch being moved or destroyed, and Ordon being established, so there has to be like 100 years at least between OOT and TP.

How was Impaz feeding herself? I did wonder that when I first went to the HV, but then there is an awful lot of kittens and cats... What with moblins popping in, whom I have no doubt would eat those cats. Ya know how some people eat fresh roadkill you just hit? I'm pretty sure a learned behaviour occured and the poor kitties just think moblins are tosspots, not knowing Mama Impaz is feeding them all little bits of other kitty and jerkied Moblin to keep her friends/livestock alive. As for water, even though is desert'esque and barren. Theres a plethora of Condensation Wells and designs. There's a couple bits in the village that would function very well as such, cold night, dew settles, runs down early AM and collected in a bucket. No doubt with the Moblins this would prob have been redirected pipeline work to her house for safety, so Cold Air in arid environment to tap. Its sinister in a way lol but easy to get by there. Those poor kitties... I bet thats the true reason Impaz is kinda Koi, she's ooold a few Moblin won't bother her. Chowing her cats though, hopin nobody finds out about her little meat over the fire and all.

Ganondorf attacked Hyrule after Link returned from Termina, the old Hyrule Castle Town looks destroyed like a war happened. Yes, more than 100 years passed, ignore what Aonuma tells you, the thing that matters is the information by the game itself, TP doesn't tell you or has any hint that 100 years passed so it's false. The interloper war happened between OOT and TP, that explains the presence or the Arbiter's Ground (the spirit temple turned into a prison), means that many of the gerudo with evil sheikah were executed.

Hoo boy, there's a lot of corrections to offer here. You can translate the Hylian script on the sign above the village gate as Old Kakariko. The Goron breaking the boulder is Darbus, not Gongoron. There's no way TP is 20 or 30 years after OoT, it's listed as hundred of years after in HH. If it were a shorter span we expect to see characters from OoT grown up, like Ruto. Impaz confirms the person she's waiting on is the messenger to the heavens, Link himself. She's allowed to leave after passing him on a book regarding the Oocca. But the core idea that the Sheikah migrated from the village is a sound one... even if I don't agree that the CT leads to BotW!

The idea that TP is only a few decades after OoT was the one that stuck out most to me. Although Hyrule's geography is constantly shifting, this always happens with the handwave of it occuring over many countless centuries. TP's Hyrule is just way too different from OoT's, particularly the swapped locations of Death Mountain and Zora's Domain. And like you said, we'd have seen grown-up characters from OoT in TP, including Princess Zelda, who would be the same character in both games. Completely doesn't make sense, if you ask me.

I doubt that the Shadow Folk (Sheikah) could've died out that easily. I mean, they survived living on the surface of Hyrule from the time of Demise's conquering to his ultimate defeat. A measly Civil War would hardly take down a tribe of what are effectively technomage ninjas. I personally think OoT Impa opened Kakariko village to the public because their hidden home came to be known to the people of Hyrule - a well-known home base is no good if you're supposed to be living in secret to everybody. (New Theory - the friendly Moblins who give Link rupees in the original game are actually Sheikah in disguise) (New Theory^2 - so are the Hylians who send Link on Fetch Quests in return for magic spells in AoL) So, where did they go in TP? I think the majority went off to wherever OoT Impa took the young Princess Zelda for safety and teach her how to dress in drag - possibly the very Kakariko village we come to know WAAAAAY down the line in BotW (but who knows). I mean, they went SOMEWHERE off the beaten track, otherwise Link would've stumbled across them. Zelda only came out of hiding because she got cocky after Link awakened the Sages, whereas Impa only came out of hiding due to needing to reseal "an evil shadow". A few Sheikah were left to tend to the old Kakariko Village (while also keeping in mind that it had been nearly abandoned in the Adult Timeline), as there were likely secrets they couldn't let out (like the contents of a certain well...), while a few others were set-up in Castle Town to act as watchers of the people in service of the Royal Family (who had nearly been destroyed in OoT thanks Ganondorf pledging allegiance to the King of Hyrule only to turn traitor days later), and to act as messengers between the Royal Family and the newly replaced Tribe.

I feel it's pretty heavily implied that the Interlopers were at least made up majorly of Sheikah, and possibly some other races, and that's the theory that I subscribe to, especially because the Palace of Twili is covered in a symbol that could be seen as a heavily stylized eye, and in Kakariko Village, there is no eye, but there is a three triangle logo! So there's 3 triangles in Kakariko, and there's an eye in the Twilight realm. Put it together and you have a full Sheikah symbol!
@Addareene101

Dude. You fell for it just like everyone else. The Sheikah WANT you to think that they’re a dwindled, dying race. They’re the shadow tribe! Every game that comes along has a “last” sheikah in Impa (or in TP’s case, Impaz) but then the next game comes along and, WOW, another “last” sheikah. The only reason we see a whole village of them in BotW, is because 10,000 years ago, the royal family started to fear their power and bade them to step down from their role as a shadow tribe and live normal lives. Notice they’re not referred to as a shadow tribe in BotW? I covered the missing sheikah in TP years ago and you missed two. Luda has a very large, whole sheikah eye on the back of her dress and Telma has a small one but with the tear drop detached from the eye as though it has fallen off. I cover everything I found regarding the sheikah in an Amino post back I made in 2016. aminoapps.com/p/lfe4k And don’t forget the evidence that the Twili are also an off branch of the sheikah.

Mangle Foxy in my Amino post (or maybe it was mentioned during one of my replies to someone’s comment...) I theorised that she may be a descendant of a child from a Gerudo mother and a bongo bongo sheikah defector father; that her lineage might be tainted which is why the tear drop on her sheikah eye has fallen/detached from the eye, but that she has renewed her allegiance to the hylian royal family. Her “Gerudo” characteristics are quite subdued compared to other examples of Gerudo’s in other games. To add to the sheikah eye on her back, she also has the same markings on her face as Fanadi, the fortune teller.

while not really connected to the theory, it is interesting to know that Sheik was originally planned to be in Twilight Princess. Ins interesting to think of how the story may have changed to maybe feature them more if Sheik was also with in the game. May also be why the Sheikah eye is on Zelda's cape, could simply be a left over from that time. Great video and work as usual though dude!

Since I recently was playing OOT, I had a thought that's been bothering me that could tie into the lack of Sheikah here. So we know that the first calamity occurred 10,000 years before the start of BOTW, and that around that time was the creation of the Divine beasts. Afterwards, the royal family feared the Sheikah technology which led to the tribe being banished, and spread across the land - according to the NPC Cado and Rensa in game. This brings to question of when the first calamity occurred. Since Ganondorf still has in form in TP - since he was apprehended before he could continue with his plans, we can assume it happened well after this game. Alternatively, if the event occurred between OOT and TP then this could explain the missing Sheikah. However, we don't know if they're saying that the Sheikah of OOT/TP are ancient Sheikah. If it's the case that it was earlier in the timeline - then it's at some point after Skyward Sword. (My issue then comes with whether it's before or after OOT, because the divine beasts were named after the sages from that point in time. The question is did the ancient Sheikah name them, or was it the excavators?) If it was the ancient Sheikah, then it had to happen after OOT. Regardless of timeline.

I’ve heard theories that the Sheikah were sealed in the Twilight after a few tried stealing the Triforce, turning them into shadow folk. The fused shadows and Majora’s Mask share lots of similarities, and the “interlopers” using “dark magic” seemed to fit the Sheikah bill pretty well. It makes sense, as Hyrule isn’t always the most just kingdom, it can be a little radical at times.
@saricubra2867
@saricubra2867 4 жыл бұрын
Both the Fused Shadow and the Majora's Mask have the Skeikah Symbol, so both were created by traitors of Hyrule's Royal Family (evil sheikah). Ganondorf is a Gerudo that tried to serve the Royal Family (but we know he was a traitor), since many Sheikah are basically woman, then the Sheikah are Gerudo that left their original home.

I always felt it made more sense that the certain person was Link. I mean, did she not state that this was what she was told to do by the royal family? Why would the royal family have her wait on themselves? I also believe 100 years is more likely if not a tiny bit longer due to how drastic the changes to Hyrule is, overall. I have never believed the members of the tribe shown in the game were the only members in existence. I mean in OoT Zelda and Impa disappear from the child portion of the game. There is no physical location they can be seen. You also have pretty much everyone in Kakariko Village appearing to be outsiders. I know it is stated their village was open to the public and I get how that can help the economy, especially if most members are dead, but they did not get themselves pregnant, and yet the family lines did not due out. I am fairly sure other hidden villages existed, some likely before Kakariko lost most it's members. Even in BotW I am fairly sure Kakariko is the members or the part of the tribe that associates in the open. But our there hidden are villages in the shadow that you only find if you live there and that you only see if they choose to let you see. You need at least a population to reproduce and how do you reopen a village when you are at the castle quite often and no other members of your tribe are in sight? I believe when it opened to the public the remaining tribe went into hiding and I believe they go into hiding during almost every games events they are part of to protect themselves as they are likely a target die to being the main ones who help by setting up events in games between titles i.e the sacred weapon or item from this tribe or this place is found in such and such place. Some of this has lore to it and makes sense but not all of it does. Sometimes it seems way too convenient and other times why would it be in a chest? There are messages for Link etc. Link has never saved Hyrule alone, he has chest codes in every game giving him power, that can range from descent to pretty extreme. Someone is working behind the scenes and given what the tribe was created for, there is likely a village or two that never reveals itself to the public and answers directly to the goddesses and likely pulls strings when needed between events to help prepare the next hero. I mean most games hint at or confirm treasures were left for Link or instructions were left for him. In some cases it is by a previous hero but someone arranges this. Link always has divine help and never is at it alone. He is given a literal arsenal at times and powers and whatever else he collects by trials and challenges and gifts passed to him. Very few things he out right just earns or does on his own without them being placed ahead of time for him. The shadow tribe works in the shadows. Impaz had a duty and was there to be found by the hero bc no one, not even a goddess, finds that tribe when they go into hiding. The mystery to me in BotW is what changed to make them have a full village of the tribe. I believe the tribe experienced a burst in population and the Yiga and Kakariko residents are findable but likely other members are in hidden villages that cannot be accessed and are likely there for plans b, c, d, e, f and g for taking down Ganon, in case the hero fails again. It is literally the lore we are given. The tribe or race was created to protect the goddesses Hylia. Not all members do this or act on this but that is why they exist and I believe the tribe or rather groups of it do this very thing. The best way to protect her, now that she incarnates as Zelda is to serve the royal family. But often they are not trusted because they are not very well known. They are shadow people and probably really do operate in hidden villages and most people don't interact with a village or group of them. So there is this established trend of a member or two getting close to the royal family to be there for Zelda. A group from a hidden village in the shadows likely sets up some or all of the treasures between games to pass on to the next hero etc. Not just to equip him but to test him and prepare him so that he can protect himself and thus protect Zelda. He is her chosen hero, the best way to protect her is to protect him and trust her divine wisdom. It makes no sense tmfor there not to be hidden villages. The main population we see in games such as BotW is fake. It is for show and is filled with members of the tribe who don't mind interacting with the other races and who present themselves as the entirety of the race itself for public relations but there are other villages in the shadows ready for divine intervention from a race literally divine itself and granted great power to serve Hylia.

Doesn't Impaz say(or at least heavily imply) that she was there to await the arrival of the "messenger to the heavens" i.e. Link? Also the monsters and the rockslide occurred AFTER Zant invaded, not before. This is evidenced by the fact that Ilia was in hidden village. She was taken there BY bulblins. Bulblins who didn't start running amok in hyrule until AFTER Zant took over. Zelda could have gone to see impaz at any point. For Shame. Waiting for Princess Zelda, more like waiting on a prophecy. Purposely misconstruing a known fact for shock value for when people look to these channels for cannon information and speculation. It's not Like it's a core part of the Story line, and lets not forget the fact Ilia manages to get to and leave the old Kakariko Village, after being Kidnaped by King Bulblin, before making her way to Hyrule Castle, On top of the Bulblins inhabiting the towern. All of which implies The Village entrance tunnel Link used was recently blocked, or there are other entrances and exits, possibly even a underground tunnel to the castle. "After returning to Ilia and restoring her memory,[6] she tells Link about the "Messenger to the Heavens". This was told to Ilia by Impaz, and the old woman won't leave her village until the messenger with the rod appears. Link, who wields the Dominion Rod, returns to the Hidden Village. Now he can access Impaz's House and show her the ancient item he acquired in the Temple of Time. She then recognizes that Link is in fact the "Messenger to the Heavens" and she hands the young hero the Ancient Sky Book. Link can use this book to reach his next destination, the City in the Sky. " -- www.zeldadungeon.net/wiki/Impaz%27s_House "The nice woman who saved me told me about it... Apparently, in this woman's village, they've guarded something for the heavenly messenger for generations, so they await him. But they can't give this item away until the messenger arrives with the rod... That's why the lady couldn't leave her village, you see... Say, [Link]... Do you have any idea who this messenger to the heavens might be? Or even what the rod is? I'd sure like to help that lady, and if we can introduce her to whatever messenger to the heavens has the rod..." - Ilia, Twilight Princess. Conjecture: I could even see King Bulblin dropping Ilia off with Impaz after getting Link's Attention, and the Bulblins choosing not harassing Impaz because she is a weak old lady. He only seems interested in using Colin to get to Link after all. I doubt that building would have kept them out for very long, and they probably were there as long as it took a Goron to clear the collasped tunnel.

Interesting video! My take on Zelda's cloak is that it's symbolic of how in the past, a Sheikah (usually Impa) has always been protecting the Princess. Though there isn't a Sheikah around, the cloak could be made by a Sheikah, so in a sense a Sheikah is still protecting this generation's Royal Family.

Everyone seems to forget that Zelda was raised mostly by Impa, and was trained in their ways, as made evident in OOT when Zelda is Sheik. It's fair to say that the Sheikah are closely tied in with those that hold the Triforce, the fact that the Sheikah eye shows up many times around Zelda herself, it's fair to say that the link between them is always there.

As a true scholar of Sheikah, I should know everything about them: Fanadi is 40-50 years old (but even she is uncertain) Impaz is about 70 (the same age as another Sheikah, Jerrin) Fanadi also has the unused ability to communicate with Wolf Link. Just a shot in the dark but maybe she had something to do with the erection of the Howling Stones

About Madame Fanadi's name. FANADI = FArore NAyru DIn Also, Impaz directly states that the person she's waiting for is the "messenger to the sky", the person with the Dominion Rod who can reach the Oocca flying city. The person who she's waiting for turns out to be Link, with the Dominion Rod, which needs the Ancient Sky Book to recharge the dominion rod. That's why the book is in the hands of Impaz (and her tribe that were passing it down through the generations). That's even the point of the royal decree, stay in the same place so the "messenger to the sky" can find you. The Dominion Rod is the key to getting to the Oocca sky city, because you need the dominion rod to move a statute blocking the way of the "cannon" that will send you to the city in the sky.

HYRULE GAMER!!! I WAS PLAYING BREATH OF THE WILD TODAY AND I FOUND A KINDA HIDDEN SECRET, (Maybe you can use it in your next hidden secrets video?)IT'S NOT SUPER SECRET BUT IT MAKES NO SENSE. So directly north west of kakariko village and , and directly south east of the Daka Tuss shrine, (Just draw a line between the twos shrines) you'll find Telta Lake, In the east part of telta lake there is a single Korok Puzzle, one of the apple ones, now I might he wrong about this but, I'm pretty sure those are used as offerings to Spirits? But the weird thing is it's in the middle of a cave in the middle of a lake, to get there you'd have to use a boat, of which there are none around, or swim. So why is it there???
@mindsight9732
@mindsight9732 4 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of shrines this offering shrines just about everywhere like most Korok puzzles(I think they just appropriated them, and i belive all are solved by filling the apple offerings), the only really notable thing about this one is (off the top of my head) it's underneath the BotW shiekah graveyard rock pile, or in the general vicinity, at a much lower elevation. The water around Impa's House in BotW may have drained through there at one point, creating a waterfall and cutting away at the mountain and creating the off shoot of the river we find below.

Telma. Secret passage into the old sewers of the castle, drops hints that she knows who link is (the cat as well), is open to traversing the dangerous field while no knight is, and sports her own crowd of knights (each one leading to each of the mirror fragments as well as it's resting place). And you can say the Knights are just regulars or happen to stay there, but they are never busy. She may also know you because your trainer is part of the Knights, though she knows you part of something bigger (possible even that you're the hero of twilight). And you can say the cat just noticed link smelling the same (which I believe is actually stated) though they know of the poe house (and seems to ignore the other cats just outside and on his head) and the hole just under the locked chest (which has been there for who knows how long), how would the cat hear any of those without a previous Royal family gaurd saying it. Another possible one is the owner of kakarikos main building, that houses a secret passage, a door that requires the sky writing and Dominion rod (which might I mention is stored inside the temple of time, gaurded my a knight), the cannon that ONLY goes to the sky home of the occo, and the main area with a secret passage to Zoras domain as well as the Royal resting ground for said Zora, (and knows how to treat Zora).

you’ve gotta make a theory bridging the ancient cistern boss in SS, the Lanayru mines and workers, some of the Beamos and Armos throughout the series, the Sheikah Guardians, the dominion rod, the armos boss in MC, and the guardian in WW in the tower of the gods. Perhaps these are all mechanical wonders created by the Sheikah to assist in defending Hyrule/challenging the Hero?

You say TTP happens not long after OoT, but all evidence in the game shows that this is a much later period in Hyrulian history. We know this because its a different Zelda and Link, the Hero of Time has been long dead, the OoT sage's have been replaced by new ones and the Master Sword has been enshrined in a temple that is now a forgotten ruin. To say that 100 years may have passed would make sense for a new royal family, new hero and new sages but not the state of the new temple of Time so it is more likely that many hundreds of years have passed. That is one reason why we know Ganondorf must have obtained the Triforce long before TTP since he should have died a long time ago but the Triforce of Power does grant him immortality.

I somehow believe Zelda‘s Shiekah cloak to be a magic item, one who protects her. Zelda as a bearer of the Triforce of wisdom did not transform into a beast, nor did she become a spirit, when the Twilight Realm engulfed her castle. Maybe the cloak is made of shadow magic, too, and she can use it to camouflage in the twilight.

To me the most obvious answer was that the Sheikah live in HIDDEN villages. Impa opened the old Kakariko village to Hylians as a safe harbour when Ganon first attacked, as shown by there being non sheikah residents in both the child and adult eras of OoT. But that was a stopgap measure, the Sheikah are supposed to be invisible, a clan of ninja style secret warriors, bodyguards, spys, and assassins. So once the Hylians moved back to Castletown they would have relocated and founded a new hidden village away from prying eyes. I think this is what happened in TP, the Gorons at the very least know where the new Kakariko is (if it isn't the same Kakariko as in OoT) and so the Sheikah moved to a new village where they could live in secret, leaving the old village to fall to ruin and be forgotten. Impaz remained in the village to act as a contact, a person Zelda and the Royal family could send a message to if they needed the help of the Sheikah, or maybe she was waiting for Zelda as mentioned in the video so that she could lead Zelda and/or other trusted members of the Royal family to the new village before she moved there so that someone in the Royal family would know where to go when needed while keeping the new location of the Sheikah village secret.

Also I believe Aonuma said that twilight princess ( and wind waker) take place more than a century after OoT. I feel as though maybe some time between OoT and TP, Death Mountain erupted, destroying the town of Kakariko, as well as expanding/altering the topography of Hyrule. Things needed to be moved around, towns, the people, etc. Perhaps the Sheikah even stayed behind to assist during such an event, maybe even lost their lives doing so, dwindling their already low numbers. After the eruption, perhaps no one wanted to go back to Kakariko village because they were too nervous being so close to Death Mountain, but over time it was forgotten cuz no one talked about it anymore. And the only person that would stay in Kakariko would be Impa and her descendants, i.e. Impaz and her ancestors. This would go along with the idea that several centuries passed after OoT, making Kakariko the place we see it as in TP, as well as the rest of Hyrule having made drastic changes as well.

Pretty solid theory, I think the only part i disagree with is that the Hidden Village is the old Kakariko, simply because the Kakariko in TP it at the same location as the one in OoT, at the base of Death Mountain. That being said, I think this is ultimately a small detail, since I find it more plausible than not that the Hidden Village was where the Sheikah relocated to after Kakariko was opened to the public

Here's something else to think about. In Twilight Princess, the flashback to the attempted execution of Ganondorf, it is stated that he led an invasion of Hyrule prior to his execution. With this being the Child Timeline, that invasion could have only happened off-screen between the Child ending of Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. While we don't yet know the specifics of what all happened during this invasion, I like to think that the Kakariko Village of OoT was destroyed during this invasion, and that the one we see in Twilight Princess is a new one built in a different location than where the old one was. As for the Hidden Village, I like to think that it too is third, separate Kakariko that is even older than the one from OoT. That it was the very first Kakariko built by the original Impa (or one of the earliest Impas since the original Impa from Skyward Sword dies of old age before any of Hyrule is even built). The Hidden Village is much farther away from Hyrule Castle Town than the Kakariko Village from OoT was, being located to the northeast of Death Mountain while the OoT Kakariko was right at the southeast base of the same mountain. The Hidden Village is also much more secluded in its location compared to the OoT Kakariko, which would make sense for the earlier versions of the Sheikah since that village would have been from a time before their ties to the Royal Family would have been as strong as they are by the time of OoT. So, my current view on the matter is that the Old Kakariko/Hidden Village was the first Sheikah village. Then they moved to a new Kakariko that was closer to Castle Town after their relationship with the Royal Family would have gotten stronger over time, leaving behind the old Kakariko to let it become the Hidden Village. Then, at some point after OoT's Child Ending, the newer Kakariko Village is destroyed during Ganondorf's invasion of Hyrule. After said invasion was quelled and Ganondorf was arrested, a new Kakariko Village was then built to become the one featured in Twilight Princess, while the Hidden Village remained occupied by only Impaz. Lastly, something else I like to think about the Hidden Village is that it could be where the surviving residents of OoT's Kakariko Village who weren't killed during Ganondorf's invasion retreated to for safety, with OoT's Impa leading them there since she would already know about the place. And once the invasion would be ended, everyone who fled to that village would simply move back once the new Kakariko Village would be built, leaving only Impaz to remain behind.

I know I'm really heckin' late to this discussion, but a thought crossed me after being reminded of the theory you mentioned in another video involving the very first Impa (Skyward Sword) connecting with the multitude of other Shiekah. What if Impaz was waiting for that Impa to reach her since Impaz probably is the last of the shadow tribe (or there may have been a relative hiding really well somewhere in that time)? Heck, we don't see any Shiekah in Wind Waker except for their items and some of the technology they had left behind. Could be one idea or I could be daft.

What if the Sheikah, for an unknown reason (yet, because it's your job to theorise that ;)) were sent into the Twilight? We know from Ocarina of Time that they are the people protecting the Temple of Shadow as well a what do we find in the twilight? Shadow beasts. Maybe most of them were sent there as a mission but the twilight eventually transforms them? Now bear with me a second because I'm going to throw a wild theory. As it has been seen and explained before, we don't see any Gerudo in Twilight Princess, but there is an entrance to the Twilight Realm exactly where they used to live, in the desert. What if, to prevent the reincarnation of Ganondorf in the Gerudo Tribe, they were all banished into the Twilight Realm long ago and, to be sure they never escape, the Sheikah decided to "guard" them by staying with them in the Twilight? In this case, Zant could be the equivalent of the male Gerudo (which is why it is so easy for him to share power with Ganondorf) but inside the Twilight Realm, like a kind of cosmic brother but another dimension. It may not mean much, but he also has red hair, just like Ganondorf. That being said, it would also explain why some people from the Twilight Realm keep fighting and others are just afraid of Link ; there are untrained people like merchants from the Gerudo and some extremely skilled Sheikah driven mad by the Twilight. Also taking a good look at the Fused Shadow (zelda.gamepedia.com/Fused_Shadow) it looks like some kind of Sheikah technology, graphically speaking. Notice how there is only one eye shown in the mask ; it may be a reference to the Lens of Truth found, in Ocarina of Time, in the Temple of Shadow, which, again, is guarded by the Sheikah. What if the crown was something used by the Sheikah to NOT become mad when facing the shadows of the Twilight? It would instead harness the power and would allow them to be even stronger. I could keep going for hours but I guess that's enough for now, you guys can work with that ;) Thanks to Hyrule Gamer for the amazing videos and theories, I always appreciate watching you!! :)

It's always been my head-canon that the Sheikah were responsible for the creation and use of Majora's Mask, without the knowledge of the Royal Family. They found out about it when the mask salesman stole it while Impa was away overseeing Ganondorf's execution, and then found out about the horrors it was capable of when Link returned to Hyrule telling tales of his travels. This led to investigations into other horrible acts of the tribe and they were all dumped into the Twilight Realm save little Impaz who was only a kid. The fortune teller is her daughter.

Seems like the place was being used for gar more than just keeping prisoners locked up... almost like a planned move by the Royal Family to get rid of the Gerudo and their culture/history to 'prevent' another Gannondorf?

The only issue i have with the hidden village being OoT Kakoriko is something 100 years or less cant change, elevation. In OoT, Kakoriko was a city of tiers, 4-5 at least while the hidden village is a flat plain, a desert plain at that. OoT Kakoriko was green and vibrant. And while the lack of cafe could do that, i personally feel that itd be far more likely to become overgrown instead of wasting away. That being said, TP Kakoriko fits better in my ooinion as the original. And, geogtaphically, is in a much closer place to the palace, relituvely speaking. While i agree tgat the Shoekah would be struggling to recppover, i think that Zant, who was being guided by Gano dirf, someone whod know all too well about yhe Shiekah, wiped them out.

That’s a good theory! I’m personally one of those people that think breath of the wild happens in the Child Timeline right after Twilight Princess. This sort of fits in quite well with this theory, read me. Theory Timeline: Civil War Occurs- Sheikah aid the royal family in battle. Ocarina Of Time- Sheikah open Kakariko village to public, probably to fully unify the kingdom of Hyrule after the war and to forget or even cover up the past of the war. Breath Of The Wild- 10,000 Years Ago( First Calamity), the Sheikah which are still active help the royal family. After defeating Calamity Ganon, the royal family Banish the Sheikah or make them change their ways. This could as well simply be the origin of the second Kakariko. Fully forgetting the past and leaving behind Impaz! Twilight Princess- Little to know Sheikah are seen. Many have scattered around Hyrule. The Yiga Clan begins to forge. Many of the Sheikah could have been forming part of the mischievous clan. Zelda uses that clothing to remember the Sheikah probably. Breath Of The Wild- 100 Years prior gameplay and during gameplay. Some of the Sheikah( inactive) are living in the new Kakariko village peacefully! The few Sheikah that where left in TP could have reproduced and with time the village we see in BOTW is there descendants! That’s what I think🤷‍♂️ Long But.... Btw- You should do a theory talking about why TP Zelda is ruler of hyrule while being a princess and what happened to the king and queen.

Thank you! I believe the King and Queen were taken out during Zants invasion, hence why we see Princess Zelda surrendering.

Hyrule Gamer That’s a good theory. It’s just strange as the cutscene shows the princess in what I believe is the throne room with nights by her side. Shouldn’t the king and queen be most of the day in the throne room? I haven’t played Twilight Princess, hopefully one day will get the HD version, but I’ve seen walkthroughs and cutscenes and their doesn’t seem to be a mention of the king nor queen. Taking in this theme, have you ever considered that the royal family could be cursed? As in, I believe, every game the Queen is never present...they usually die for some reason. Could the family be curse to loose pretty much the queens and could that mean that the next queen( Princess Zelda) could die( before time of course) to?

Sadly, Impaz was NOT waiting for Princess Zelda while staying put in Kakariko Village. She was waiting for Link to arrive with the inactive Dominion Rod so she could give him the "Sky Book" which is required to progress the story!

It's such a sad turn in their history. I desperately hope we'll see more Sheikah in future Zelda games. Especially BoTW 2. :)

6:55 if that were the case, where is old man link? instead we have the phantom link, the reincarnation doesn't work like in avatar, the hero is born when there is gonna be a threat to the kingdom or the royal family, there must be a difference of 100-150 years, since we have a new language and the old castletown have been consumed by the forest, so the kingdom moved into the northwest region, along other places, i think that the only place that remains the same is the lake hylia, it still has the water temple and the erosion has sunken the entire place i don't have twilight princess anymore, but can anyone remember if there was a mountain near the "old kakariko"? it's location don't make any sense, kakariko should be near the forest, since the entire field and castle are now part of the lost woods, so that position don't make sense at all unless... the "old kakariko" is in fact the true kakariko NOT seen in oot where only the true sheikah lived on, that would make sense with the fact that they're always hidden

Has anyone considered both “moved village” theories can be connected? Possibly after the OoT ordeal the royal family wanted the sheika closer and built a small village nearby (TP Old Kakariko) and then the tribe faded out. Also Impaz was told to wait for “someone with the dominion rod” to guide them in protecting the royal family and all of Hyrule, as the Sheika once did quite a time ago.

this is funny to see, I will release my first episode of my project this or next week. in that story ive written that Zelda has a clairvoyant skill which was unlocked/taught to her by impa , who has that same ability. this will reference the fact that Impa had been training Zelda long before she was trained to become the character that is Sheik in OoT adult timeline. Its a very long story but when its on my channel I hope you'll give it a shot man. and nice vid once again!
