Yknow for some reason, call it a mandela effect, but i genuinely remember going inside his house once at some point on the wii. I remember it to be very cramped inside. And a bit dark, and if i remember correctly you can only enter his house at one single point in the games progress and honestly i dont remember enough to recall, but i swear it was rather early in the game. Sometime before or after the 1st dungeon but not when you have access to hyrule field. Maybe before/after you went in the initial twilight encounter If someone has an answer here itd be greatly appreciated as i no longer have my wii and LoZ TP to go in and trial and error it myself

The "time constraints" which caused the house to be locked was revealed in an interview with one of the dev team. It seems that just as they were wrapping up on finishing the game the designers were contacted by Miyamoto. Now, first let me say that I have the upmost respect for Miyamoto-San however I am also very familiar with the frequent times that Zelda games have had "troubled" development and now it seems I know why. So, this young lady from the art team said that Miyamoto felt that the opening to the game was too rushed and wouldn't give new players time to get familiar with the controls. So what happened is that originally Link was to leave his hometown after 1 day but Miyamoto told them to extend it to 3 days. So the team had to scramble to create another 2 days worth of content for this area - causing this house's interior to be unfinished. Apparently, Miyamoto's sudden change of creative direction isn't uncommon and explains a lot with the series when you think about it.

I'm gonna be a nerd here and say that I heard about this a long time ago during a video about the Zelda series most useless items. It was ranked up there alongside the golden poop from BotW, the hitpoints glasses from WW and the bomb mask in MM.
@endoverlord4234 жыл бұрын
@@KryyssTV the hitpoint glasses from WW arent usless, they look awesome!! also the bomb mask is super OP because if you shield and then use it, you take absolutely no damage, so its useful for that hidden log cave where you can get milk making it so you dont have to pay for bombs, who did you watch that made that vide0?
@KryyssTV4 жыл бұрын
@@endoverlord423 It was a long time ago so I don't recall who made it. Keep in mind that it was a useless tier list which means that these things did have a use but where largely useless compared to other items in the game. As you've pointed out, even the Bomb Mask had only a very niche situation where it could be considered useful. Actually, now I think about it? Is the secret ice-cream in BotW actually more well known than the green chu jelly?

Great video as always! I wanted to comment something about the Hero of Time’s love interest: Malon. And everything points to her being the chosen one. Given the Hero of Twilight’s rancher life and how Kokiri Forest, Lost Woods and Sacred Meadow came to be Ordon Village, Faron Woods and Sacred Grove, I believe the Hero of Time married Malon and made that happen. He died in battle in the Lost Woods against Dark Link and the Master Sword was moved there by the Goddesses in his honor. Link and Malon’s children kept the ranching legacy going until the events of Twilight Princess. I love how it pans out. Fun Fact: You can hear Malon’s singing voice at night in Hyrule Fields’ theme (the one played at 7:30 in this video) Oh and also, Fanadi’s name is composed of FArore, NAyru and DIn. And I read that the magic meter was turned into the lantern oil meter :)

Can we really be sure that the Hidden Village is the Kakariko Village from Ocarina of Time? I've always though that TP Kakiriko was the same as the OOT one, and the Hidden Village is an even older Kakariko that was kept secret from even before OOT. This is because: 1. OOT Kakariko is located right at the start of the Death Mountain Trail, and TP Kakariko matches this location perfectly. The Hidden Village doesn't. 2. OOT Kakariko had a Graveyard to the East, and TP Kakariko does too. The Hidden Village has no graveyard at all. 3. TP Kakariko is built around the Sanctuary with the Sky Cannon in the basement, and the Sky Cannon dates from when Hyrule had contact with the Oocca civilization in the sky, which was around the time the Temple of Time was built (evidenced by the Dominion Rod being in the Temple in TP), and therefore this dates from BEFORE the events OOT. 4. OOT Kakariko was opened up to Hylians by Impa just before OOT, which would easily explain the fact that TP Kakariko is Hylian settlement. There's no evidence that there was ever a Hylian presence in the Hidden Village, and this would run somewhat counter to it's location being kept secret in TP I think that "New" Kakariko was built before OOT, and this became the Kakariko village we see in that game, and that "Old" Kakariko (the Hidden Village) is even older than that
@HyruleGamer4 жыл бұрын
I'm not saying its 100%, I just personally believe it is :)

agree, the hidden village location doesn't make sense, where is the death mountain? where is the castle town and temple of time? the oot kakariko must be somwhere near the lost woods, those woods consumed almost all the hyrule we knew in oot i really like this map and i hope that one day we get to see the early days of tp hyrule, as the kingdom moves and stablishes north of the old hyrule pic related: www.itl.cat/pngfile/big/10-108878_death-mountain-twilight-princess-map.jpg

The Magic Meter might have been used for the special moves that the Wolf Spirit teaches Link, but given how frequently players use said special moves, its likely Nintendo saw it as a glaring flaw during development and decided to remove it. @random comment No, Zant.exe was renamed Twilitruler.exe, but that was Midna's designation. However, Ganonhead.png had a hidden script attached to it that caused it to open and immediately close itself upon being added to the Twilight Subterminal, and during the brief time the image file was open the script disabled the 'are you sure you want to do this' popup for deleting or replacing important files. So Twilitruler.exe was replaced with the renamed Zant.exe, and then the popup was enabled again.

One of the earliest easter egg bits I remember is when you travel across Hyrule Field at night, Malon's N64 voice can be heard singing on the air. This happens to be (imo) more evidence that the Malon x Link shippers are correct in their theory about OOT Link's future wife. The Hero's Shade watches over his descendant by helping TP Link with sword mastery, and Malon's voice calms Hyrule Field, where she used to live, and is now watching TP Link's journey.

Half? I thought it had been just some. Or some sort of loan. Like a eldritch patron of sorts, and he could take the power away from. If Zant came back, it would be cool. Would've been cooler if he didn't act all weird at the fight, though.
@RyanWuzHere134 жыл бұрын
Hugo Fontes it was half, which is why during the final Ganon fight, Zant appeared. The crack neck signified Zant was not going to give Ganon his power back after Ganon betrayed him, so that led to Ganon not being able to revive again.

Wouldn't it make more sense for the timeline connection to happen after four swords adventures though? It can't've been Zant because he was dead

Great video! I remember stumbling upon green chu jelly during my first playthrough and I was just confused as to why it didn't do anything, then I made the connection to the magic meter and assumed that it would come into play later but it never did. Attacking a cuccoo was one of the first things I did in TP.

Don't I know Twilight Princess was the best selling Zelda before BotW. I had gotten Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Wind Waker right after they came out for gifts or rewards for good grades, but that game was another story. Twilight Princess came out right around my 16th birthday and it was flying off the shelves. My mom wanted to get it for me as a birthday present, but she checked several different stores and it was sold out EVERYWHERE! I didn't wind up getting it until a good time later cause it was never in stock. I got it for the Gamecube when I finally did get it, which is surperior to the Wii in my opinion anyway.

The sign welcoming you to "Old Kakariko" is also a reference to Adventure of Link with Old Kasuto & Hidden Village of Kasuto (with TP having the Hidden/New populous swapped). Old Kasuto is also home to just 1 person, the Old Man, who teaches Link the Thunder spell. While in Kakariko village in OoT we learn the Song of Storms, and in TP it's home to the Bomb Shop. Both feature their own "thunder".

The locked house in Ordon Village reminds me of the locked house in Kakariko Village in OoT during the Child-era. During the day the son plays at the graveyard, and the dad is guarding the passage to Death Mountain; and during the night the son sleeps, so you shouldn't disturb him.

Green Chu Jelly... I knew how it was in the original game from someone else's full playthrough, but I didn't know they'd added a description in the remake. Neat. I knew about the Cucco thing because one of the most famous things about Cuccos is what normally happens when you attack them, so I saved and tried it. Wow, Kakariko's really changed... but then, I think about changes in the closest city to where I live in just 40 or so years, and maybe all the buildings being on the same level of ground and in two rows and such isn't that odd. I thought the locked door was a storehouse for Sera's Sundries, but maybe that's just because he may mention it if you talk to him while he's standing there. Okay, I don't know how secret the following are, but... Speaking of Hanch, if you wait to talk to him until he's throwing rocks, you get a special cutscene when you walk away after doing so. Sera has two pictures of her daughter... and four of her cat. You can get Uli's cradle before finding out she's looking for it, and she'll have different dialogue. When you talk to Agitha for the first time while wearing the Hero's Clothes, she'll say you look like a grasshopper. However, you can wait to talk to her until you have the Zora Armor, and wear it when you do so. This will change what she says you look like. You can talk to the adventurers between escorting Telma, Ilia, and Ralis to Kakariko Village and when you beat Lakebed Temple. (Or possibly enter Lakebed Temple.) Be sure to talk to Ashei until she suggests you just not talk to her, yeah? This will change what they say when you eavesdrop on them on the way to Jovani's so you can take the waterway to Hyrule Castle, and they'll also apologize when you talk to them face-to-face. One thing I never see anyone mention is that there's a picture of Tingle in Snowpeak Ruins. The easiest place to see it is in the foyer. I don't know if the HD remake has it, or if it's clearer, or what, but there it is. (There's also another picture beside it, but I don't know what it is.) Everything sold has a set price. Go anywhere you like, and the same item will cost the same no matter where you go. This is including the asking price at Trill's shop (assuming you pay what he asks instead of stiffing him), and the fact that the cost of things like Bombs and Arrows scales linearly, i.e., buying 30 costs the same as buying 10 three times, even from different shops. There are three exceptions: Chudley's, where things are so expensive, you couldn't buy anything even if you could get in without having your shoes shined, Malo Mart Castle Town, where prices are slashed from the normal price... and some Gorons across the north-south road from Chudley's/Malo Mart, where prices are increased from the normal, but you can pay it. The young Goron on the lower floor says their dad calls it "regional pricing", probably referring to how they can get away with charging that much because until Malo Mart comes to Castle Town, better prices aren't convenient to anyone who can't warp. (Also, the Goron on the observation deck is where you find that famous quote from the original LoZ: "It's a secret to everybody.") If you return to the Goron hot spring in the late game, you can find a couple of Zoras there. They're not quite used to the whole "hot water" thing...

I’d like a remake of twilight princess or a sequel. A journey to find Midna. While traveling stumbles upon a fairy who’s named Navi. Both feel like they’ve met before…maybe from a times past. There are many obstacles such as entering realms outside of Hyrule. He has to go back and forth to hyrule and these realms searching for clues to find her. The villain in this story: Dark interlopers and Dark link

I don't think that's OoT kakariko. in oot the village was at the base of death mountain. however it was also mentioned in oot that the shieka left that village so that other hylians would have a place to live. So a more likely explanation is that old kakariko is just 1 of the many places the shieka have lived, as they tend to move around. Actually that might even be where they went AFTER they left kakariko in oot

Despite being a bit of a Zelda lore/secrets freak, I wasn't aware of most of these things, at least not to the extent you described here-so I got to learn a few new things while watching your video! While I knew the the Hidden Village was meant to be related to Kakariko in some way, I never knew that sign literally read "Welcome to Old Kakariko".
