"No wonder these things are so rare in Zelda games." That line cracked me up because it's kinda true. With an empty bottle, anyone can take on Ganon/Ganondorf. Maybe he sends his monsters and minions to destroy as many bottles as he can before each game so that no one can challenge him. I got an image of him trapped in a giant bottle unable to escape. That leads to him being dressed like a fairy. These thoughts are making me so happy right now.

Hitting the energy back with the bottle in Ocarina of Time is itself a call back to A Link to the Past where you can hit the energy balls back with the bug catching net. In ALttP you use the net to place items like fairies and insects into the bottles. However in the same way OoT did away with using the net to catch things and then putting them in bottles, instead just using the bottle itself. So too does the Dead Man's Volley also do away with the net and directly uses the bottle.

That’s definitely one of my favorite parts of the entire game. It’s kind of chilling. Like, at some point after OoT, they lived in this big temple and now they are completely gone. Like, what happened?
@RichQ66664 жыл бұрын
I was alway thinking that the Forest Temple in TP is actually the remains of the Great Deku Tree from OoT. The foggy area in Faron Woods with all the wooden ruins, is maybe used to be the village in Kokiri Forest, which was demolished once. So the Kokiri were forced to find shelter in their once lived father's dead corpse (or whatever left of it) to struggle there until they finally died out/vanished/turned into koroks and started to play hide n' seek...

Nobody could tell who it was until the HD release came out. The fancy castle town shop has statues of Raaru on the walls. Speaking of musical references -- and A Link to the Past -- there's Kakariko Village. Regarding the boss fight in TP against Zelda: many of her attacks in TP are used in Hyrule Warriors. Zelda, when using her Rapier weapon moveset, has access to two attack strings one infused with light, one without. One of her early combos when infused with light will make her form am orb of light and toss it at enemies, like the deadmans volley attack. And one of her later combo attacks when infused with light forms the massive glowing triangle below her and destroying enemies around her. Also she is capable of summoning the light bow and arrows with her Rapier moveset, for both her light infused attacks and special attacks, the light bow she uses is the same one Zelda uses in Twlight Princess.

Awesome video, man! I don’t know if this is obscure or not, but a really good one that some may not know about is the dark link reference. If you go to Link’s basement, get out the lantern, then hang it on his side as you stand in front of the mirror, the shadows and all kinda look like dark link. Its been a real long time since I played the game, so I could be misremembering but I distinctly remember being creeped out as a kid but thinking it was cool. My apologies if I’m wrong.

It's funny that at the time, people hated Wind Waker and loved Twilight Princess, mostly because of the graphics, but nowadays it seems to be the opposite. Pity, because I always loved Twilight Princess.

Nobody hates Twilight Princess. Some just see it as an overly long retread of Ocarina that caters too much to what fans think they want. I still like Twilight. I replayed it recently. But most of the time, I rather replay Ocarina instead.
@tar1354 жыл бұрын
TheSorrel really? I love Zelda my favorite game series but Ocarina is over rated TP Link to the past and link between world is better maybe if they remake it it will be top again but not anymore
@TheSorrel4 жыл бұрын
@@tar135 I don't see that. To me, Ocarina has a tighter world and Progression, better dungeons and an overall more mythical feeling than the other Zeldas. I admit that nostalgia goes a long way with me and this game, but I don't see how Ocarina is in any way dated. I mean, yeah, the N64 Graphics are starting to show their age, but its not like MGS where what the game is trying to accomplish is hampered by them. And we got the 3DS remake anyway. And there are these "collect all silver rupees" rooms in some of the dungeons that wouldn't get made today. Other than that, I don't see how other Zeldas have straight out surpassed Ocarina. They have all tried different things, so each one can be your favorite. Even Twilight Princess has a more character centric story that you might prefer. But thats it. I wouldn't even say that one of the 3D Zeldas is "objectively" better than the other. To me, TP is a drawn out retread of OoT, but maybe you like that its longer and breaks up the dungeon crawling more.
@tar1354 жыл бұрын
TheSorrel I genuinely don’t see why people say TP is another Ocarina can you please tell me? Other then riding Epona troughought Hyrule emu would even go as far as to say Midna is the main character and link is the side but you okay as Link so that’s why he’s considered the main

Has anyone realized the similarities between the shield surfing mini-game on Mt. Hebra from LoZ:BotW and the Yetto/Yetta racing mini-game on Mt. Snowpeak from LoZ:TP? Take a closer look at both mini-game courses next time, and you will see what I mean. Also, Mt. Snowpeak in LoZ:TP is a direct reference to Mt. Snowpeak from LoZ:MM! Could Yetto/Yetta be somehow connected to the Gorons who lived on Mt. Snowpeak in LoZ:MM? It's certainly worth a look...

Given that the bottles can hold fairies and blue flames, and are often gifts of supernatural entities (ghost in Link's Awakening and the Poe Collector), it would be interesting to have a deeper consideration of what these bottles actually are.

I don't know if he is a reference to him, but Coro's affinity for birds may be connected to the Hylian found under the bridge in A Link to the Past, or his counterpart in A Link Between Worlds, the Bird Lover, as the more likely connection of the two. In the latter case, he also has birds resting on and around him, though is a bit annoyed at Link for making them fly away by approaching. They may not be connected at all, but Coro also sells you a Bottle filled with Lantern Oil just as the Hylian and the Bird Lover give you one (though it should be noted that Beedle also sells one on his Masked Ship in The Wind Waker).

The option to use the bottle in Dead Man's Volley in Ocarina of Time is itself a reference to A Link to the Past. Instead of using the Master Sword to reflect Agahnim's energy orbs back at him, you can use the Bug-Catching Kid's Net.

Head cannon: The empty bottle isn't what's bouncing the magic energy blasts back at Gannondorf/Zelda it's the Triforce of courage in his left hand hitting the magic directly and repelling it. Maybe his bravery to fight without a weapon supercharges the Triforce of courage against such high level foes

@Zeltik idk if you have ever had this idea for a video but let's pick up on your last easter egg, just what is up with the bottles in Zelda, are they really magical? You can put everything in a bottle from water to fairies, the souls of the dead and even living creatures that equal Link himself in size. Idk man might make for a cool video✌ Very good video also I enjoyed it.
