Another neat little thing about this game I love that I haven't heard a lot of people talk about, is how it changes certain dialogue after you've already played through it once before. Reason being because of time travel. I can't remember all of them, but I do distinctly remember before the final battle with Majora after you've done knocked out Skull Kid, Tatl and Tael go to reunite and during the first time you play it, Tael explains how it isn't Skull Kid's fault and that he was lonely and Tatl responds with her basically saying it's not an excuse cause he was trying to destroy everything. And then she is surprised to see Majora act sentient as at first she thought it was the Skull Kid and also begs Link to reverse time since she's scared to follow him into the moon and doesn't go in with Link until Tael says he'll go instead. Then if you replay the battle again after beating the game (and I think dying during the MM battle works too, not certain on that, I always noticed it after went to replay the battle), before Tael even gets the part where he explains why Skull Kid did the stuff he did, Tatl interrupts him with basically a "yeah, yeah, he did that cause the mask caused him too, blah, blah..." and Tael is surprised she knows what he was about to say. While I think she still acts somewhat surprised at Majora coming alive (can't remember specifics, it's been a while since I've last played), she doesn't react exactly like how she did before when she first thought it was Skull Kid talking. Lastly she acts ready and willing to follow Link into the moon instead of begging him to reverse time like before and even tells Tael to stay behind. I just found that neat as a kid and even now still do, cause it adds another layer of depth to the fact that they are, in fact, time traveling and that there are probably other people other than Tael that finds it odd that they know stuff about them that they shouldn't. lol

@Pollicina_db4 жыл бұрын
@@elli_senfsaat Zelda MM ended up being interesting BECAUSE it was rushed. I think that botw 2 will be tamer and definetly not as dark as MM. MM was made in the beggining of 00's, dark and deep themes aren't allowed in kids games nowadays. Nintendo isn't willing to make an M rated Zelda, they strive to make games for family friendly audience.

There is another very cool secret you missed which you can only find on the very first 3-day cycle. On that first cycle, wait for the final hours to begin on the final day while standing outside the astral observatory (technically in Termina field). Instead of getting the usual cutscene with the clock tower opening you get a completely different one.

Now that I think about it, it mirrors the time travelling that you'd be doing. You start in the same place and your end goal is the same.

Actually, Granny is Anju's grandmother in Ocarina of Time as well. During the side quest for the Biggoron's Sword, you'll have to take Cojiro from the cucco lady (Anju) to her brother (Grog), who in turn asks you to take a mushroom to Granny in the potion shop. She gives the medicine to take back to him, but he's gone. Fado, the creepy Kokiri girl who talks at you about how he's a Stalfos now, gives you the Carpenter's Saw which you then give to the Master Craftsman (Tortus), who is the father of the cucco lady and her brother. He mentions having left the saw with his mother at the potion shop. So the whole family tree is copied verbatim from Hyrule to Termina.

Nice alternate introduction screen! If the game was any good, I'd actually own it to try to make this happen!

I actually new about the secret intro when i originally played (i did not really think of it as a secret) and i was stuck in clock town for years and i always imagined the places i would get to travel once i escaped clock town,

I remember witnessing the secret intro after seeing the first one finish. I was going to get a drink in the middle of the normal opening, and when I came back, I saw the second one and was so confused, but I thought it was really cool.

Love your videos, buddy. But that second intro is available if you simply push nothing and let the intro play twice. Anyway, I would love to see more MM vids. Love your stuff, keep it up.

First game I ever owned when I was about 4 or 5 on the 64! To me it’s the greatest game of all time. Had no idea what to do, and just rolled around in fields😂 great times though. Brings back memories

I also sometimes had to second secret title-intro sequence play when I was runnin' the game. It wasn't often but at random. I found the novelty of it nice, lovely and enjoyable.

"Majora's Mask" is still my favorite Zelda game of all time (tied with Wind Waker). It still haunts me to this day. I need a sequel. I need true closure of what happened. Did Link die? Did he exit out of a strange land? Did Navi actually die? Is Majora's influence really gone? Maybe some more backstory on where Majora's Mask came from. I don't know, but I badly want more out of this game haha

Ikr there are so many questions but honestly, I think it adds to them if they are left unanswered and up to us to answer for our self :)

Not surprising that someone would miss it though. Not many people let it play twice. I give him credit though, he always tries to find things that no one else has covered.

I remember getting the alternate intro when I was a kid because I loved just watching intros as a kid and would watch them once or twice before playing the game and I saw that alternate intro. Maybe it's about how long you let the game go? It's cool

Honestly, the Giants that are supposed to hold the moon up appeared in one of my nightmares. The nightmare was one of the giants held me in their hand. The background was Termina on the final day, but it was nighttime. Then the giant *ATE* me, yeah, you heard that right. The giant who was supposed to save the town *ATE* me! I just remembered that nightmare recently...

Framing a reused model as some kind of creepypasta in majora's mask of all games is pretty funny lol
@insupportofjunhado3 ай бұрын
It's only mysterious if one didn't read the manual and see it's just a parallel world to Hyrule Link fell into wandering The Lost Woods without a fairy. The creepiness of Majora's Mask is undercut by the Deku Shrub you control being creepier than 98% of everything else you'll see.

@ScAr_wlvrne4 жыл бұрын
sgillman16 it’s the third, and seeing as it’s not common knowledge on how to get it to play, a button sequence to force it is pretty neat. You can tell a lot of effort was put into this and all of HG’s other videos as well, so need to be rude just because he made a slight mistake.
@sageneodraconus4 жыл бұрын
I think that alternate intro was probably planned for but then scrapped to avoid giving away details about the rest of the world of Termina. Since the original intro sticks to just showing Clock Town and that's only the 1st main area of the game. It allows the rest of the game to be more of a surprise and allow you to feel the true awe of seeing it all for the 1st time when you arrive. Still awesome though

There is yet another secret that most do not know about, but back in 2001 not long after christmas of 2000, and before social media and KZbin were ever a thing, I posted to a website called cheatplanet.com about a really unknown secret of the game involving using the song of time in a way that allows to get Epona before you even complete the first dungeon. Basically you do everything the same up until you find the hero's bow in the swamp dungeon. Then you warp back to the first day and start your way to the mountain region. When you get the fire arrow go to where the test is for the Powder keg. Once you complete that test warp back again in time. Buy a powder keg in Clock Town and then proceed to destroy the boulder blocking Romani Ranch. Go get Epona. And boom you have your horse and you havent yet even fully completed the swamp dungeon. Time is wibbly wobbly in that game. There are other things you can do bc of the way you use time in this game. But like I said at the time there were nothing about this on any forums or game sites. Once I poster this to the forum cheatplanet.com, I got crazy amounts of feedback. People telling me i broke the game. All kinds of stuff. That was almost 20 years ago now. So obviously new things have been discovered. But for me that was probably one of the coolest secrets no on knew about at the time.
