Only thing I noticed is they are using a SO230/PL259 plug for those high frequencies, those plugs will be a bit lossy. Also I noticed it can only be mounted with Vertical Polarisation, though it would not be hard to drill holes through. It would have been nice to have the factory punch the holds for both polarisations though. Otherwise a nice well built aerial/antenna and very easy to make portable and set up quickly. The nut in the middle section I might spot weld a thin chain r better a zip Tie through the bolt, but I would just carry a few extra nuts. Nice find and I like the way it folds up. Could improve it by putting inside the middle one of those tent pole springs, that way you could pull it apart and fold it and not even need a nut. A captive nut might have been good with just the bolt. But nearly all products can be improved, but it all costs more!!!!

Thanks for feedback! Fully agree on connector - should be "N" but in this market is more like get it or make Yourself. I clamp mine to tripod so there is no problem changing polarization (but for holes that's true they made it for vertical). Recommend check out my other video when I deploy it for actual use. Even with manual adding improvement - I think it's good bang for buck.

@@ElectronicNoobBlog Yes, I saw you sending email with it, I have enough with normal email as it is. XP, is it still operating? The computer I have with XP just can't get anything to run these days! At least I can't get any software to download and run after reinstall. MS should allow it to run and get old software, even if they think it is unsafe! I only wanted it to run a browser for the Man Cave when pottering at the bench to get schematics etc but nothing will load let alone run! It is even getting hard for W7 computers these days.
