The climate activist group Just Stop Oil has been a frustrating fixture across the globe in recent times.
The group of young protesters make it their sole purpose to cause as much disruption and chaos as possible to draw attention to their cause.
For years, Just Stop Oil and other climate activist groups have enjoyed a free run. Everyday citizens and even the police have been too scared to put an end to their stunts for fear of being canceled or labeled climate deniers.
But, people have had enough. Ordinary citizens are stepping in where the police won’t, forcibly removing protesters from blocking streets and finally holding these pests to account.

For the blocked roads, do they think about people who work? Plumbers, construction workers, or paramedics? Emergency cases like child labour or heart attack? They have better things to do than giving time and attention to those people. And look at the clip at the theaters. In the crowd, you may have people who want to enjoy their day off after a good week of work, and it is interrupted. The people do not have to accept that.

True story: an overseas friend of mine missed out on an important meeting because of roadblocks, and then recognized a neighbor several streets away. He talked to other people, one thing led to another and in the end they had an industrial container placed right in front of the protesters house, effectively blocking his frontdoor. You could still get in if you squeezed through, but that was about it. Lo and behold: all of a sudden it was all "different". Blocking other people and preventing them to get home or go to work is one thing, but blocking _him_ from entering his home was an outrage! Hypocrisy ruled supreme. The police were called, the neighbors said that "mistakes" were made but as soon as the police realized that this was one of those road blockers they stopped caring: "as long as this conflict gets resolved by tomorrow, DON'T make us come back, ok?". The neighbor became the laughing stock of the neighborhoor: "Mr. hypocrite".

I used to teach environmental science and ecology in a natural resources management program. As far as I know, I never had a single environmental activist show up to take one of my classes. Activists don't want to be informed because information just gets in the way of their dogma. They also are lazy and can't be bothered to do the hard work it takes to assess and preserve wildlife habitat while also working to produce the sustainable resources needed for humanity to survive at our current population level. You know what's interesting. These kinds of activists don't exist in certain countries. It's only in countries with enough freedom to allow all kinds of deviant behavior. Other countries they're merely locked up for a long time to reflect on their actions (like destruction of property/vandalism). I've also noticed these same types never create anything to technologically advance society, so they practice trying to reinforce their ideas with overly dramatic behavior, behaving like children even though they're full grown adults.

We live in country where we don't murder people who think differently and I like that. The thing you say about why don't they just invent a bit of tech, well they can't/ But just because you don't have the means to do something doesn't mean you can't have an opinion on it.
