Since it's official release is slated as being released in late 2021 I can imagine the beta will happen sometime early 2021 or hopefully even later this year 2020. Fingers crossed on the latter, cause I know I for one want to be able to play this game asap :) Regardless of bugs.

Thats sorta the point of the Beta phase. The game is finished, only thing remaining during this phase is bugs. There would be no point in ironing out bugs before releasing the beta since thats its sole purpose. Tl;dr no need to worry, the beta will be buggy as shit XD

Doubt the game has any feature like this, but would love 2 types of saddles, one for mounting and another for carrying which would place bags and chests on top of the mount you equip it on although you wouldn't be able to ride it with this 2nd type you would have a inventory space in the mount could order it to follow you

I honestly think the beta is going to be like Minecraft, where we'll get everything that's ready at the time with several sequential updates adding newer planned content. That beta worked wonders for Minecraft, so I would be surprised if they took a drastically different approach with the same game genre.

Unlikely, Minecraft's case was very special. Hytale has investment, deadlines to meet, and has set promises. Beta needs to be limited and done as efficiently as possible. That isn't to say the release of Hytale will be the final version though - look at Terraria. It officially released years ago, but it was only last year that they added their final content update.

@@kweebec This is very true, and I agree with the point you make. Because of the difference in situation there will definitely be deviation. I'd still be surprised if we got a beta length and format like Valorant (a couple months of beta with a small content patch for full release) versus Minecraft (several months/years of buildup to a "full release" with tons of further planned content), however.

I'm sure we'll be getting more stuff on their website, but we're talking hard-hitting system reveals and marketing gear-ups towards what we'll have on offer in beta - while they may technically still write them as blog posts - they could just as easily start releasing developer logs or even feature gameplay demonstrations

@@kweebec Yup i already have some plans with modding i want to start working on some small project i don't know if i would be able to pay for server but then if not i would release probably tutorials and code for it so peoples can use it. Whole my plan is to make something like in server shop where you have few npc's on spawn that accept credit only. Credit is available only from special game that are on server. Game would be CS 5v5 2 maps cs_assault and de_dust around 8 weapons and simple game rules if you win you will obtain credit and you will be able to spend it inside of shop. I cannot wait to start working on this but yeah first i will finish and learn whole game XD

It may even happen as seperate events. What they could do is survey all the people who signed up for beta, and ask them what they would rather beta test - obviously there's gonna be limited slots so it would be unfair for 1 person to get to test all of them - so having 2/3 betas, one for adventure, one for creative, and one for multiplayer would be awesome

They could do a multi-phased beta. From the looks of it the're happy with world gen so just being able to fly in a kind of spectator mode world be cool. Then they could give access to their "creative mode" as the desighn should be comparitively easy compared to survial where there are ballance issues/ exploits. But this seams unlikely since I've never seen or heard a game that does that

So i noticed the game is quite far a long in development. And i was wondering if Hytale will have something like an encyclopedia. Basically allowing us to create entries on structures, creatures and so on, to where as we learn more about said structure or creature new things are added to entries. Like for a monster, what does he drop for a variant you meet and kill, for a structure, what you find in it, is there treasure in or nearby it? Does wildlife interact or stay away from said structure, do NPC like creatures interact with it and so on. Basically your diary for your character you are actively playing and if you need items to craft anything or you want to go on a hunt to find a legendary or unique items you can use the encyclopedia to judge how to go about it. I thought this idea would add a lot to the feeling of discovering something new when it pops up saying new entry written/ added about something new you found. Most minecraft mods have quest trackers and even some minecraft styled games have a item use system like JEI mod on minecraft, maybe Hytale can one up this system by completely overhauling it and adding their own twist to its addition into the Hytale universe. Would be blown away if they already had something similar to this idea implemented lmao.

I would like to see sneak peeks at zone 5 and 6, or a teaser of some sort. A sneak peek at the new alterverses/dimensions and dungeons. More information on how mining/gathering resources would be like. Some information on what PvP may look like to give a bigger idea to what to expect. I.. I hope they will added things like dodgeable attack. And of course some of the monster attack is faster. Just hope some of the mobs have weakness and strong at for example, zombie is tenacious but slow, spider is fast but fragile. Since there will be more range weapon, if its not added it will feel like a one sided massacre againts mob that is out of reach/stuck/cant get near the player

I would like to see what the deep seas and oceans of Hytale are. I really like subnautica and One piece. So I want to see if they include boats and ships as well as deep diving. Just imagine the mobs and biomes in underwater dungeons. Imo probably wouldn't have those in the first launch but may have big updates for those later on in the game cycle.

Been a very long time since I was looking forward to a game like this. This seems like just the right relaxing expierence to just build and play with friends. hmmm very interesting. I am hoping for a way to increase stats such as health and maybe armor. Tho even if it is minimal such as like in minecraft, we have tools to add it!. As for magic I hope to see what the engine and tools will allow. Since I have some good ideas for magic/spells for the addon/mod I hope to create. my other concern is how the engine might handle intense combat. I will be testing the engine's limits xD I would love the beta mod maker and or server and I hope creating a custom dimension.

I think stat boosts will come from the weaponry/armour you use, potentially the potions and food you consume too

In my opinion if in December they reveal the things they are waiting to reveal maybe in January-February they could reveal the beta release date, and Hytale could be released in March-April. I hope that the beta will not be released in late periods like September or later. However for me the "big reveal" could be something like the choice of an element (with attached powers) or something maybe even more surprising. Sorry for the long comment 😅

They are most likely working on AI, Zones 4-6, tweaks on Zones 1-3, and weapons and the crafting system. Why did I make this comment you may ask? I don't know, just wanted to get my predictions out there.

Will Hytale have any sort of automation, because I could imagine that SMPs would have people creating SUPER GIANT BASES in adventure mode, so that means they would need bulk amounts of resources that would be hard to get manually.
