Tim I enjoy your videos ! I am a long time fan , thanks you for sharing the information on the Hyundai excavator also I have been researching different brands of mini excavators for a while now in the 20 K range for use on my farm and wood lands , after watching how your Hyundai responds I believe my mind is made up , the Hyundai excavator will do everything I will need it to do for me . Thanks again be safe and God Bless .

I have an 080-4 and 100% agree the auxiliary hydraulic button is a terrible idea. It's a great machine with plenty of power but I have dropped several trees unintentionally with the thumb fortunately nothing was damaged but it will make your heart stop for a second when it happens.

Here's the thing for me about Hyundai and their cars... they just don't seem to last that much. I hope the longevity of your machine is to your satisfaction.

I had a big FIR on the lower section of our property we owned in the 80's. Mountain. I had an eco nut come spike my fur in three places. Luckly, it didn't kill the tree, but they were trying to keep me from selling it. I had 12 acres of Redwoods and were standing gold. I sold the house before we were pushed in selling one. Some of these folk cut the power to the county by taking out a High-Tension tower. The good news coming from the power company - 2 weeks no power - the guy was killed when the tower fell on him. Earth First activist. Sad all around. I painted circles around the three spikes to help protect wood men. And to prove they killed the tree if it fell across the mountain road.

Ever thought about getting yourself one of those screwdriver sized metal detectors that those beach treasure hunters use? May work well on finding metal in trees for placing your cuts...

Great video Tim. As you said about hitting the button. If the kubota didn't have the button problem. Would you most likely be in a kubota now?? The kubota dealer that I deal with has 3 of the 80-5 in stock on the yard. During the week I'll see if they changed that process with the Auxiliary.
@cotontop39 ай бұрын
The 80-5 still has the button, it's on the stick now. I had made up my mind in November that the kubota was not going to be bought.

Hey there, nice looking machine and that grapple-saw looks amazing! Can't wait to see it in use! Also wondering what kind of Chaps you wear while Chainsawing? Most of the Chap-type I've used are too cumbersome...
@cotontop39 ай бұрын
I wear saw pants. Clogger and arbor tec are my fav brands. Husqvarna technical chaps are by far the best chaps made
