I have an Ioniq and love it, but I love it primarily because of the hybrid power train. They've missed a trick not doing what Honda have done with the Jazz, IMHO. Excellent review.

the rest of the world would love this car but why it's only available in 4 right hand drive countries and 9 left hand drive countries. 1.0L with turbo petrol engine with manual or automatic option nothing is more valuable with that package

Original Gen3 model was 48V Mhev( except special edition, “Element” & N Performance)model 24 & now further update in 24(referred to as model yr 25) have no electrification.

I had the n-line 48v it was garbage, had to charge the baterry every week or it would run down , in the workshop 3 times and they told me there was no faults, they told me to use a lot more to keep the battery charged 🙂, got the facelift one now no hybrid so much better

I bought it a while ago but after a couple of weeks i am a little disappointed with the car. The engine is pretty noisy especially around 90 km per hour. At that speed it is really humming a lot. Car just does not feel sophisticated at all. Plus 100 Hp is not enough. Pulling up with the car is kind of weird , it's really choppy. The entertainment does really work well although the sound of the Bose system is not that great. The trunk is very small because of the mild hybrid system and i don't think it really ads much to a better fuel consumption.

@ because in a test drive it it seemed fine. Only after a couple of weeks you can see the pro’s and cons not in an hour of test driving.

Pity that the i20N has been discontinued. My partner has one and it is a crackling little car. That cheap hot hatch niche is rather empty now.

Look at the driver's eyes at 3:20-3:25, as two blue vehicles go past. I have noticed this many times with the reviewer. What is he looking at?

Mild Hybrid? I thought 2024 models bar the i20N is full ICE.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That said, the UK colour list for this car is dreadful, besides this marmite lime colour, the blue and grey look like primers, the only non chargeable colour (mangrove green pearl) is the colour of phlegm and the red is maroon. How hard can it be to offer the i20 in popular hues?
