Hey there, I've got my i20n for about 2 months now. In germany it manages the streets pretty well. No problem with the suspension at all. For our streets it's not too stiff/firm. I've driven it now about 4.000km and it's hella fun. Everyone who loves Hot Hatches should consider to buy this one, if he can affort it. I'm serious. The sound totally nails it, compared to the trashy Polo GTI or the Ford Fiesta ST. My first little "Dream Car" was the Fiesta ST, as I've driven (normal 100hp) Fiestas my entire time, since I own my dl, because they are pretty affortable and I ain't got that much money. But as the i20N released, I were like. "Jup, thats gonna be mine." I don't regret it.

@@ax5022 Got about 16.000km today and I still love it. Right now I'm moving to a new apartment and I got some problems with the space of the trunk but therefor I just got some friends with Ford Transits and cars like that. Also the Bose Soundsystem could be a bit better in the highs/mids but is still pretty good. Thats pretty much it with the negatives of this car. Some positives to mention: The exhaust sound is still insane and the suspension makes you feel like you fly through corners. A huge infotainment that works pretty good A permanently disableable lane assist Super fast cooling/heating A/C and heated steering wheel Much space for passengers in the backseats, because it has the measures of the i30 in the interior. I'm 1.80cm tall and everyone of my friends fits behind me without touching my seat in any way. Just the foot space is a bit small, because the sport seats are very low (which is good). The trade for this is the trunk space but thats fine for me. I wish you a lot of fun with your N! You won't regret your choice of car!

@moee1337
@moee1337 5 ай бұрын
@@shizhang7181 its about 5.5l with cruise control at 100km/h. if you drive it sporty its 9l and above, depending on how fast you drive it. for daily driving expect about 9l, if you shift late, use the n mode only and like to drive faster than "normal" cars/drivers. if you drive normal it should be about 6-7.5l average.

I've never thought I'll buy a new car. But the I20N made me order it brandnew. Lucky me it took 3 month (March until delivery in June) and I could pick my Brass I20N up at my Dealership. I have to say, that I/we own a bigger car too. For trips on the Autobahn with the family etc. So space and comfort for traveling far away were no things I put into consideration. But now that it's here, me (and especially the kids :) ), only want to drive the I20N, or at least as often as possible. It's more spacious than I thought in every day use, and the superb handling and the good engine still putting a smile on my face. My love for the car grew even bigger and I'll keep it for a long time. MPG is great too btw.

Loved seeing this and how you have a great affection for it, recognising it's not perfect, but just driving normally I find it comfy, I'd imagine giving it a bit of stick in the bends may be a bit less comfortable, but genuinely it's a magic, fun and special car with true head turner charm 😀 hopefully we keep seeing more of these charismatic beasties on our roads🤞🤞🤞😎😎😎

@claudiadavies5110
@claudiadavies5110 2 жыл бұрын
@@Damo1998 Oh you've got me thinking! I did drive an I30n just once and also have been a passenger in one a few times and I don't think the owner of the I30n had it in the hardest suspension setting, but it was very comparable in that yes, they're both undoubtedly firm and, yes, if you go into a pothole it will do that crashing feeling because of the stiff sidewall of the tyre, but it just makes perfect sense when you drive something like this that the grabbiness has a teeny little price to pay! I hope I've been able to help, I have to admit the second I test drove mine (which was the day I picked it up from the dealer) I felt like it was "right" and made sense. It's genuinely comfy on a freeway and the seats are incredible, a couple of hours driving and no sore backside, hooray! For me, it's not a compromised ride, it's a carefully balanced ride, so would I buy it or an i30n again, oh yes, without question!!! I'll be interested to hear if you decide to go with either of these, you can't go wrong😃

I bought the GPK version back in May (‘22) to replace my 10 year old Opel Corsa Eco Flex that got totalled through no fault of my own. What an upgrade! It’s extremely comfortable to drive, I have no issues with the suspension at all. I’ve got a severely herniated disc (L3-L4) since August and so far this car is the easiest for me to get into, out of and to drive. That’s saying a lot as my SO has a luxury BMW. It’s an extremely fuel efficient car if you are a sedate driver. I’ve done some tests and at 70-73 km/hr I can get as low as 3.8 litres per 100 km, going up to 4.2 litres per 100 km at 90 km/hr. My only gripe would be its soft paint. Not much of an issue when you know about it and use the proper equipment when washing it but be prepared for a few light love marks here and there. The car feels spacious even in the back, plenty of leg room and head room for even taller passengers and more than enough to transport a human and a medium-to-large dog simultaneously on the back seat. Love the safety features. I took it on a long drive (Ghent Belgium to Düsseldorf Germany and back) and I really liked the comfort level as a driver, especially for a car in it’s size and price range. Couldn’t be happier!

Well done John and Chasing Cars :) Great quality review that aimed to answer a lot of the questions people have. A month ago I put a deposit on an I20N that was a cancelled order from someone that needed a car straight away. The one I've put my money on looks the same as the test car. White with the black roof. The price I'm paying is $42999! I'm in Brisbane Australia. A lot of money I know and a lot more than what they were just 12 months ago! So if you've picked one up for anything under 40k I reckon you've got yourself a bargain. The estimated wait time for me is another 6-9 months. As we speak that seems to be the price you have to pay. No stock available, Hyundai Australia currently not taking orders, huge demand worldwide, great reviews etc. .It may also be one of the last petrol hot hatches you can buy before things go hybrid and electric etc.

hey @ChasingCars . i do own a I20 N (Line) since it has done 1000miles ( didnt buy it brand new but hey no waiting time) and i could say as watching your video, when we do exclude the horsepowers and some unique characters from the 20N, i think both cars do get quite close anyways, especially when we do speak about daily driving and trips experience(track experience isnt included here ). Id say i am more satisfied of the comfort of the N line seats, since they are deeper and they dont give me any chance to more at all when im sitting, compared to driving some other cars. It is firm but i guess the 20N is one idea more firm even in comfort settings so people should remember and decide what experience they want, when we speak about sounds i20 N and N line are very close in the sound at idling and driving if used normal mode and CLOSED valves on the 20N :) consumption on the 20N u are refering to 7.5 which isnt actually bad having in mind it has 204HP, while the i20 N line does personally with me make 6-6.5 with mixed driving and not pushing too much so yeah quite a good choice for enthusiasts that would like to give more gas but save some fuel as well.

If you get a new car with pirellis fitted, when you run the tread down never get them again and get some PS5's or if you dont want to pay Michelin tax then Hankook s1 evo 3 or Kumho ps71s or Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetrics are good too.

Nah man. You don't need track days for this car to be worth it. The Polo is boring and the Fiesta has a horrible interieur by now.

Also super rare on U.K. roads, I’ve literally only ever seen one other in the flesh and that was in a dealership. I see more high end super cars on the road than these.

I'm very impressed. The way those Engineers detuned that turbo charger enhanced engine to only 150 kilowatts, it's a feat of boost control magic. Surely it makes more power than a Kia Cerato? Just kidding, of course it doesn't. Oh what a feeling, de tuned engine.

Everything could always be cheaper. It is what it is - or rather, what it was. Can't get them anymore. Orders stopped from March 2024 in most of the world...

Depends on what driving you're doing. Commuting, then e10 is fine. Track work or in very hot climates, then use premium fuels.

Awesome car. Very good review. Not much of a fan of CarWow 5 things. You could probably come up with something a bit original
