the launch control works perfectly if u do the steps in the right order: neutral, clutch, first gear, full throttle. Car in N mode, Oil temperature on 90 degrees, steering wheel straight

I don't wanna excuse Hyundai's wiper fail, but I think if the weather forces you to use windshield wipers, you shouldn't go 230kph+...😂 Nevertheless they should fix that. But except that the car is pretty nice.

On an engineer's perspective the wipers would have worked perfectly in rainy days. Why? Friction between the wind shield and the rubber blades is at least x2 in dry condition.

I have mine for 4 months now and it is just perfect. So much fun to drive, it always makes me smile when I start it up. And you get a lot of looks too, maybe because its so loud in N mode :D

Honestly, the biggest problem of this car is consumption and slow engine. It goes, but not as much, as i30 N Performance's chassis deserves... But still, love it. Great car... Greetings from your POV driving fan channel.

Since I've driven both the hatcback and the Fastback on track and outside track(Imola racetrack in Italy), I can honestly say the hatchback is the more fun to drive as it is more towards "doing shits" around, feels "lighter" and more agile in directions change and so on, while the Fastback feels more stable and more likely for fast polished corners, more sedan behaviour. So, in my opinion, if you look for a only fun ride the hatchback is the clear choice, while if you search for something more "allaround" the Fastback is the one to look for. Both are great.

You didn't have the ESC in sport for the launch test. You said you needed to have it in sport prior to testing it. It was only after you put were altering the settings again and changed to suspension set up from sport to normal that you changed the esx from normal to sport.

I tryed the wipers of my hyundai at 225 dry and wet and my conclusion is that when it's dry the friction whit the downforce is to much but when the glass is actually wet they do work perfectly 😉

When flooring the throttle for launch control (having met th either conditions) you literally have to push the accelerator pedal to the floor AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Otherwise it doesn't work!!!! They don't tell you this in the manual.

I think the closest thing we will have in the US is the upcoming Elantra N. I watched another autobahn run in one of these and the guy hit 169mph. I'm guessing it was tuned.

Iirc there is no more none Performance version of the i30 N. There is only the i30 N Performance and i30 Fastback N with 275 PS. The hatch with 275 PS is still called Performance though. I watched a video where they say you need to stop, close all windows, depress the clutch, put it in 1st gear then kick the gas pedal down as fast as you can to use the launch control. The car also needs to ne warm enough. How is the fuel cut off btw? Abrupt or soft? I always encounter a-holes like that Skoda driver......going left with no intention of overtaking or creeping past them with 10 km/h difference which is actually not allowed.

@@EtherealMisconduct the selling numbers for the Veloster were pretty horrendous, not worth the shipping and other import costs for the EU. EU loves boring and diesel cars so two points against the Veloster that broke it's neck.(also brand recognition which Hyundai was just getting back from some rougher years before)

one question: does any sports cars or sporty models ' wipers also do not return it's original position when the car is driving in high speed like 200+? if it's not, it must've hyundai's fault. they should've tested on autobahn. as SK's highways are having strict speed limits that are set to 100~110 km/h so that we can't drive such way like in autobahn.

UMMM I CAN say we don't have enough places to drive over 200 kms, even on the highways. there are many speed cams installed, and heavy traffics from city to highway..i don't know but the wiper seems like defect to me.

Wish it came standard with Michelin tyres, so much better than "Pirelli p-ZERO TRACTION" tyres, no wonder it launches poor. Although I must admit you need to do the steps a bit better. I'd have PS4S on in immediately. You need to have the car in the neutral first then clutch, gear, throttle and in N mode and it launches great. Also, honestly...for me it's either ESC ON OR OFF no stupid "sport" setting, that's the only thing that bugs me about my current car, cant turn it off completely lol and it's a sport version xD. Another thing i really want from this car is slightly longer gears, only by about 5%. If 60/62mph/100kmh was hit more easily in second gear it's 0-60 time would be so much better, my current Leon FR Sport has a 66mph second gear making it's 0-60/100 time awesome. I'd go for fastback all day, so much nicer looking imo. Question about "overboost". Why does it not just have all the power all of the time? Is is for emissions standards or something?
