I remember when Hyundai launched the N series, it felt so off. All the "proper" car brands have sporty cars designated with the "cool" letters, it's always S, R or something similar. But N? It always looked weird....then you learn the N is for the Nürburgring and OK, OK....it might make sense.....and when you finally see the little cars in action - there's no doubt that the letter N, can in fact, be cool.

It's crazy that Hyundai can make a car that can do a lap on the Ring without overheating but Honda can't. The I30N did a full speed lap with 4 people and a full trunk, the hype R could never pull that off without overheating.

@@ocoet3575 I just wanted the I30N's better practicality since the hatchback is a bit bigger especially in trunk space for the Hatchback version and it has 4 passenger doors rather than the odd 3 door plus hatch design.

Plus it has the old interior and when you can get an Elantra N for the same price and it's much more modern its a no brainer... though it's a deal killer for me since I want a hatchback.

On small tracks i20N are faster. On faster or big tracks obviously the power difference will make a winner out of i30. Both are very good to drive. I30N has more potential in mods. I20N is more pure sports car (lighter, more nimble)

I know my 2020 Veloster Turbo is not an N. But I love the torque it does provide and the electric ECU manipulation to act as a LSD, Sure it is not an LSD but for me and the lady to cruise the TOTD and to the beach's the sunroof and everything is great. That is the trade off for me I know a sunroof is weight so it was not included for the N and this care in the video is not even provided. Really want that RM-19 mid engine to go into production but it will most likely be electric or hydrogen hybrid which will be the cost of a 2012 GTR lol.

Watch the fuel consumption and realize the Nürburgring is only 25 km or 16 miles long. The i30 Fastback N has a 50 liter gas tank. Meaning bro is getting around 5 miles to the gallon or 2 km per liter. That's brutal. 😂👍

The fuel tank is only 42 liters, but yeah most cars driven flat out with a bunch of 'cargo' will drink a lot of fuel. The fuel tank is stupidly small imho when the consumption on autobahn can easily be over 10L/100km.
