I could not agree more. Prices are a little bit higher here in Germany, but I also think this is the best car you can get for the price point. You have to like the design, but that is not a problem for me, I love it.

Feel like they could have sacrificed some of the legroom and moving the seats ever so slightly forward. This would give more headroom and maybe some more boot space. Nevertheless I ordered one of these badboys after at VERY satisfying test drive.

Yes, the trunk space is an issue in the EV6 elso which could have been fixed by moving the rear seats.

@Bowie In person they are quite sleek . . . sheik.

Adding to your comment : I also experience issues with door opening on my ioniq5. Due to the impressive space, doors are also bigger and need consequent space to be opened sufficiently to get my youngest kid out of it. Annoying on regular basis imo.

@Bowie LOL, taste is relative . . . but almost everyone, except yourself of course, says it looks better in person. Nuff said.

@@MAGApepe Not as soft as the I5 but not too stiff. We had it on some rough pavement and it was smooth and didn't sway in the corners. The long wheel base soaks things up. Not a real sporty ride for sure but tighter and more responsive than the I5.

Hey Kris, what happened to your tests of the Model 3 LFP cars? I wanted to compare your M3 LFP results against the i6 but I can't find your M3 LFP videos!

I saw it in the metal for the first time last weekend and it looks a lot better than in videos. In fact, it is 100% better in every way than the Ioniq 5, IMHO.

Hi Kris, Nice review. I think VW id 7 can be a competitor of Ioniq 6 (size and price wise). What do you think? A

It’s strange how things have changed. When Tesla’s were more expensive it was said that they may be better in technology and drivetrain but quality is not worth the extra price. Now while Tesla’s are getting better in build quality and are thousands of dollars cheaper now the other EV’s are worth the extra price. From my experience with 2019 Tesla 3 and 2023 model S my advice is check these cars before buying the competition. These cars keep on giving with software updates.
@KrisRifa Жыл бұрын
Only Tesla that has improved in build quality is S and X facelift, but then again they are more than 100k Euro in Europe - so better build is a must. A Model S Long Range is more than twice what this cost, so not exactly and option when looking at a 50-60k car. As I said in the review, Model 3 i smaller, less comfortable and noisier by quite some margin. SW updates can only do so much, it cant make the ride, noise levels or sense of solidity of a Model 3 better.
@babnu Жыл бұрын
@@KrisRifa we can agree to disagree. Model 3 and Y build ie panel gaps, noise levels,fit and finish, ride quality have improved by most car reviewers lately(not to S class or 7 series level). Model 3 is better car for most families with small kids. Back seat is not great for adults. Model Y is better fit for families who will haul 5 adults all the time. So to me ioniq 6 is targeting extremely small segment of people who want to get a car with extremely large back leg room but cannot be too tall. Smaller trunk size and costing thousands of euros more. Nice car but missed the mark on so many things. Most people who don’t hate Tesla’s will find them a better fit in this price range. People are already showing that by their pocket books.

@@babnu build quality refers to materials, switch gear and over all fit and finish. When it comes to the interior of Model 3 this was fine in 2019 and is the same today. That is why I say there is no improvement, and has been good enough since the start. Haven't driven a "2023" Model 3, so cannot comment if ride and NVH has improved since 2022 - but for Model Y there is no noticeable difference for 2021, 2022 or 2023 models IMO. Model 3 and Y are good choice for their price, but if you want more interior room, a superior ride, a much more quiet cabin or faster charging the Ioniq 6 is a better choice. It is very simple, it is a bigger Model 3 for a little more money. And in addition to the extra room you also get a much more quieter car that rides much better. It also looks much better. Model 3 and Ioniq 6 have similar size trunks 401 vs 425, that is not even noticeable for 99% of people. My friend is 187cm tall and had no problems with head room in the back of the Ioniq 6. "Most people who don’t hate Tesla’s will find them a better fit in this price range. People are already showing that by their pocket books." If you need or want a bigger back seat, a quieter car, a more comfortable car the Ioniq 6 is objectively a better fit - that is not a matter of my or your opinion. It is just a fact. This car has just hit the market, so it is way to early to see how well this will sell yet. If you have a baby or a young child that uses a child seat, sitting in front of that seat is going to very tight in a Model 3 - having a large rear seat solves that. So this car does do a lot that a Model 3 can't, and that is fine - different cars for different customers.

@@KrisRifa like I said we agree to disagree. Car owners experience speaks way louder then a few days of driving. Most people buying Tesla’s are doing it based on recommendation from their friends and family members who love their experience. (Tesla doesn’t advertise) Look what happened to Mach E. Sales fell off the cliff first quarter. Tesla cars are constantly improving in hardware and software. Software update every month or so with ease of use and what people request. Here we have VW asking people to leave car to dealership for software upgrades. Audi dropped heat pump. Have you seen differences in summer and winter efficiency of non Tesla compared with them. I am getting 333 mile range at 75 mph on model S at 10-15 Celsius dry conditions. So when I see your range testing with car (Tesla model S) that beat every other car in Norway range test 3rd or 4th in your table, it looks disingenuous. Maybe it’s just random testing that lands Tesla’s in the middle of pack. I have owned German cars before and understand true luxury driving experience and looks etc. Europeans will have pleasant surprise when autonomous driving regulations are passed and you experience true nature of single stack FSD that we experience in US. The car drives local roads with minimal interventions and very human like. It’s all software. Do you think any of competitors will ever have that ability to improve the car by software updates. I don’t think so.

@@babnu sorry mate - but we are not even disagreeing - because what I am saying is not a matter of opinion. Facts are facts whether we disagree or not. I am not about to jump into a deep conversation about Tesla with you, this is a video about the ioniq 6 - not Tesla. "So when I see your range testing with car (Tesla model S) that beat every other car in Norway range test 3rd or 4th in your table, it looks disingenuous" All my tests are on video, documented on video - you can see the results from the car ON VIDEO. Are you saying I somehow hacked the Model S' infotainment system and gave the car higher consumption than the car actually got? And why? I like the Model S and Teslas in general. I have recommended them to a whole bunch of people. In every car I test I show the cars data, and use that data to calculate range - there is not way for me to fake that.... you sound like a conspiracy theorist dude....
