And it has a bit more of space in the Frunk and trunk but a lot less space for passengers in the fond. And Tesla has its Super chargers ofc. But there are many things that the M3 is lacking. The 6 is an almost ideal electric car ... love it, but I am impressed how much physical disadvantages you find when compared to the Ioniq 5, which I personally don't like ... then I'd rather go with the EV6. Since the biggest limitation on an electric car is the range, it should mean that a less ideal aerodynamic car would be a bit like shooting yourself in the foot. But I guess the practicality of an SUV crossover seems to be more appealing than a long range. Fact is that in the daily life most people drive ranges that are no problem with almost all electric cars and if you don't live in Germany, like I do, nobody drives fast anyway and the aerodynamic disadvantages are not as pronounced as they are over here. By the way here in Germany the marketing is very different from you mentioned in the UK with one battery and two motor options .... here we also have a 53kWh battery with an 111kW(151HP) motor, while there are two versions with 77kWh with a 168kW(228HP) and a 239kW(325) AWD. The 350KW DC charging power is really groundbreaking ... over here we have a bunch of chargers which supposedly should be able to max out at 350kW, have no clue how realistic that is? Since you don't have to stand in line for paying fuel at the petrol stations counter, you can check your mails, take a slash and off you go again. Anyway, thanks for the very critical review ... that is how a real review should be ... Respect!

E-GMP platform peak charging rate is about 230-240kW, not 350kW. That's probably some communication issue regarding the fact that it can take advantage of the fastest 350kW chargers.

I’m not usually a badge snob and I love a lot of the cars coming out of Korea but I still don’t understand why Hyundai didn’t spin off IONIQ as its own brand like SEAT did with Cupra, especially given how different the IONIQ 5 was to the previous Hyundai Ioniq. They make all these fancy, futuristic cars with clean lines then stick on an ugly plastic badge from a 90s budget minivan.

well, duh. have you ever heard of improving, R&D, making mistakes and learning from them, investment, etc. etc. and just all-round evolution? that's not just the nature of korean car manufacturing brands but virtually everything in life.
@piyushkanthak1087 Жыл бұрын
@@lowkeyconvert8971 let me tell you their shady practices, in India, their Creta has scored a 3/5 star in crash tests, still it sells like hot cakes, their i20 has scored 3 stars, they consider our life inferior than other countries 🤬
@lowkeyconvert8971 Жыл бұрын
@@piyushkanthak1087 there's probably more nuance to this. doesn't every respective country or continent set their own safety standards? ultimately, all car manufacturers have to abide by the standards of each country so it sounds like your government signed off on this and are fine with the particular safety standard for the indian market.
@piyushkanthak1087 Жыл бұрын
@@lowkeyconvert8971 well that's true too, the government here wants to promote safety but doesn't have any standards, currently Skoda VW, home grown companies like Tata Mahindra are the pioneers in safety here in India, Suzuki are even worst, you must be knowing about Swift, Ignis, they are India's worst rated cars😒

@shizenjapan Жыл бұрын
Moral of the story never rely on the camera to drive, always use your mirrors and judge gaps with your eyes. The camera should only be used for checking what is around you when parking, going around tight corners or at night when reversing in the dark. I have a 360o camera in my Land Cruiser but only use it as required.

Sedan is my favorite car style, so i like the Hyundai Ioniq 6 more than the crossover ioniq 5. The Ioniq 6 design is beautiful. i like the minimalist two screens in the dashboard. The Ioniq 6 is a good competition for the Tesla Model 3.
