i was only wondering the other day if hyundai did an electric car, i have south korean friends they are very smart people , mind you childrens schools in south korea starts early in the morning and finishes very late a night and goes 7 days a week so they are brainiacs, i see the tesla gets very impressive mileage, these cars are a must given whats going on in the middle east, if you dont own one of these you could be walking.

That is excellent energy efficiency for driving at 130 km/hr! My Nissan leaf uses more at that speed . Around town I get 7 km per kilowatt.
@StephenTrenewablenergy7 жыл бұрын
That is a 2c temperature. So it would be better in the summer. I even seen the range go up this week when the temperature went up too 10c I got 20 -30 km extra.

This test didnt tell me much. What I would have liked to see would have been for you to reset the trip meter and the energy consumption meter on the dash. Then we could have seen excactly the average consumption from teh time you made the reset in kWh/100km over this leg. In the "trip history" we couldn't see anything relevant since the last leg was a 306km long one average. And the power consumption doesn't say much since it varies so much

Filip Bjurling I will be making a new video and I will reset everything.

Its not actually 130 kmh its more like 120-125 depending on how accurate your speedo is, try it with a proper measuring device that shows real 130 kmh

Got to drive the ionic for 3 days, when I charged it up at night it was reading 170 k full charge. Hyundai says you can get 280 k out of a full charge if you drive very economically. And do you know how much it costs to charge up at night for 10 hrs. Thanks Stephen
@StephenTrenewablenergy7 жыл бұрын
That's very good did you enjoy it? You can get over 200k driving at 100kph but I never do that I am always on the motorway. It's about €2 a charge.

Thanks Stephen. Yea great to drive quick and silent. Bit of a pain jumping back into the i40 diesel noisy and I had to brake as well, Hyundai said to be bringing out 300k range electric ioniq next year. I'm waiting for the i30 tourer to see what that's like. And that's out in June over here.

Hi I am Kilkenny man I just wondering the real range of the Hyundai ioniq
@StephenTrenewablenergy7 жыл бұрын
Hi mick tipp man myself. If you drive it @ 100kmh you get 200km. Drive it at 120 or 130 you get 160km and 150km around that Mark. Now that's in winter. So summer will be a lot better easy put 30 to 40 km in range hopefully.
@mickys19757 жыл бұрын
Yes yes thank you very much my diesel car engine has gone bust I have a deposit on a Tesla Model 3 probably won't be here for another two years so thinking of buying a leaf or Hyundai ioniq everybody is telling me I'm mad but I'm determined not to buy another internal combustion car
@StephenTrenewablenergy7 жыл бұрын
The ioniq will travel a lot more at higher speeds than the leaf. I drove the leaf it's not great at motor way speeds. The ioniq has a lot more equipment. Take them for a drive and see what you think. If you do a lot of motorway driving go for the ioniq.
