I have a 2014 kia rio, and suddenly it has no power, unresponsive accelerator, rough idle, and no check engine light. I put it on a scanner, and only got a grey fault p0263 cylinder 1 unbalanced contribution. I've tried spark plugs and fuel injector cleaner. I'm seeing a lot of other people with a clogged catalytic converter showing similar symptoms. What should be my next step? The car won't go above 10mph. I don't want to try much else without any evidence, but I'm leaning towards a plugged cat.

Try changing the pcv valve, definitely not the whole problem but could lead to rough idle and stalling. Also start using only top tier detergent gas. I like quick trip no ethanol.

I’ve replaced all of this and it’s still throwing a 420 bank 1. I’ve replaced both o2 sensors and my catalytic converter and still having problems

Did you reset the codes after you changed it all out? You have to clear the codes

I have this code on my '09 Mitsubishi Lancer. I already determined it's the O2 sensors, not the catalytic converter (thank goodness). I'll eventually replace the O2 sensors, but the car doesn't need to be smogged until 2023, so no rush 😎

@@MrCDawggg Used a temperature gun in front and behind the catalytic converter and there was still a difference. The code comes in and out, still need to replace the sensors 😅

I have the Same Code on my 2015 Kia Optima i wiggled the wire from Down Stream 02 Sensor and The Check Engine Light turned off So im going to have to Change my 02 Sensor it's Probably Worn 02 Sensor

I have the code p0420 and I can feel my engine misfire after driving it and u can see the engine and whole exhaust system shaking when it’s doing so and when it isn’t misfiring it’s still as can be what is probably the problem? It’s a 2014 Hyundai Elantra 1.8
