I really liked this car design, Came close but decided not to purchase a 2024 due mostly to Hyundai salesman haggling over 4K and extra charges. After researching all the past Ionic issues i decided go with a Tesla. Perhaps in 2025 refresh Hyundai can get some of these issues settled. I also get the feeling the dealers mechanics/technicians have no idea what they are doing.

My major in college was radio / television broadcasting. I dabbled in it for a few years after college at a couple TV and radio stations, It was fun but around here there is not much money in it. Need to be in a major market or larger city.

After enough recalls that don’t work maybe they’ll try replacing the chargeport and maybe by then it could be replaced with a NACS port under that recall 😆

I will schedule my appointment also for Gizelle, the Ioniq 6. Have I sent you photos of Gizelle to you email? Question: to my understanding, this recall is to fix the of the 12V battery getting drained and going dead, so how does that affect that it can't slow charge above 28 amp current? You read this will be a software fix so are the 2 issues related to this software issue maybe?

It's annoying having to take it to the dealership so often and it must suck if you were unlucky to have had your car have this issue and be in the shop for a long time. Otherwise, I still think this is a great car, but wait for the refresh if you are considering getting one with the bigger battery, rear wiper, and NACS connector in North America.

Interesting that they’re having issues on the 12 volt side, but they haven’t addressed the overheating of the J1772 charge port problem. I guess the only way to fix that is to install a 12 kW DC somewhat fast charger at home. Forget about that darn Westinghouse alternating current rubbish. 😂

The theory is the overheating is damaging the ICCU which in turn is causing the 12 volt failures.

I really think they're so ugly though, Plus not a fan of Tesla's everything's on a touch screen and that's all you get. I enjoyed my Tesla when I had it but until they get a more normal interior I probably won't get another one.

my ICCU and/or high voltage fuse just failed on my Genesis GV60 :( ICCU software update recall update installed too

@@chrmnxpnoy sorry to hear that. There's not a fix for this really, The software is just a Band-Aid, the hardware is still faulty. When they put the new ICCU in there's a chance the same exact thing could happen to you again :(

I understand about needing your Ioniq fully charged to visit parents. I am in the same boat with one parent but I would be able to charge prior to driving from western North Carolina to Pittsburgh. Electrify America/Walmart here we come. Yippee! What could go wrong?

I have the same problem withblevel 3 charger...mine charges 5khr and it supposed to charge at 9khr or 11khr in a 48amp charger....I love the car but this is frustrating 😒
