Hyundai Sonata - How to Replace Fog Light bulbs - 2006-2010 Vehicles

This tutorial demonstrates how to replace the fog light bulb on a 2008 Hyundai Sonata Limited Edition. This tutorial should work for all 2006-2010 Hyundai Sonata vehicles. I noticed the same problem I was having with yours... There seems to be a little plastic pin sticking up which prevents you from turning the whole assembly counter-clockwise.. I think you are supposed to remove the wire clip from the bulb before attempting to remove the bulb.. Otherwise you will break off the little plastic pin... Which in your case it seems like you did crack it.. you can see it @7:43, to the lower right of the bulb, next to the black plastic plug.. it is bent out to the right from you turning the whole assembly counter-clockwise.. Not a big problem, but for those out there who are OCD about things, they may want to try removing the wire clip from the old bulb before removing it, and then clicking it back on after re-installing the new bulb...

Just an fyi for those watching unplug the cable first then turn counterclockwise to remove. (It moves a lot easier when unplugged) Clockwise to put in bulb So unplug first and plug in last.

But the issue with regular halogen bulbs is that they do absolutely nothing to light up the road at night. So I am trying to replace the fog lights with LED bulbs and see how they work. Also I have on order from China a whole replacement lamp with H11 headlight bulbs in 'em! Gonna give it a shot!

Do I have to put the car on a Jack in order to replace that bulb or can I just lay on the ground and reach it?

You can probably do without the jack, but if you do use a jack, make sure you're not a dummy like me and put a good jack stand under the car to prevent any mishaps.

How TF do you get out the plastic screws?! Mine turn and turn and turn and turn. I can't get em out

Not sure if you figured it out yet but those screws are similar to the ones around the "shroud" on the inside of the trunk. You have to hold the moulding down while unscrewing the screw and then pop them out. You could tinker with one of the same type screws inside the trunk to get an idea of how it works. Essentially these screws are just tabs, not really screws.
