Wobble sockets are just amazing. On a separate note, how the hell am I ever going to reconnect my 3mz to the u151f transaxle in my Rx? I’ve been able to get some ladyfoots prybars inserted In through 3 of the bell housing holes into the engine bolt holes and a long punch pin in the 5 o’clock hole through the engine to the threaded hole on the transaxle where the access panel is but it’s not aligned enough to take the punch out and swap it for a bolt. I’ve tried wiggling, lifting the transaxle up and down with the jack and alternating lifting the engine and dropping it with the hoist in every combination I can think of but to no avail. I thought pulling the engine out was the hard part but I obviously miscalculated that and have discovered this task to be an entirely new nightmare.

If you have partial alignment with one bolt hole, connect the engine with the trans with 1 bolt. Then wiggle the engine around until you can get another bolt hole aligned to put in your 2nd bolt. At that point, you should be good alignment for the remaining bolt holes.

Thanks in no small part to you I got the engine running. Just need to swap out the power steering pump with the remaned one that came with the vehicle since the one that came on the salvaged engine is shot and she has no power steering. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKuQoaOYiLKjgpY There is a video of the first turn over after charging the battery up with the alternator.
