Hi sir, when you change the faulty turbo actuator is it plug and play? or does it need to be calibrated after you install the new actuator?

@@GicaPhp wouldn’t know how to explain it , like a rattling noise, about 100km/hr when i start loose power is excessively noisy , almost like i’m driving with no tires on LOL

@@GicaPhp you’d figure if turbo was gone car wouldn’t have power period, and a lot of smoke should come out to the exhaust, instead first few gear the car is fine, same thing first few gear there isn’t much of a loss or noise at all, that makes me think i got a bad intercooler, got to have a leak somewhere that gets worst at higher rpm when turbo requires mire air, am i right ?

ecu is smart enough to adjust fuel quantity for an air leak so not likely to see smoke unless it gone really bad. Just squeeze a turbo hose and rev the engine, if the hose get hard, you have boost. Now if the boost asked by ecu is not achieved in a specific time, underboost fault code can be set. Underboost can be cause by intake air leak, exhaust partially blocked, bad turbo vgt or wastegate control, bad map sensor or even maf sensor.

@@GicaPhp sensors would give me different code tho..i checked the wastegate, seems fine to me , checked for leak didn’t see any but as well i don’t have a smoke machine so i can’t know for sure..turbo has pressure cause i can hear it and feel it fine first couple gears, it gets chocked by something when more air is required…

Hi George, Can you please confirm if the intake turbo pressure was dropping in vacuum when you rev the engine? At 2000rpm the intake pressure drop to 800mpa. yes, if no boost there will be negative pressure inside the manifold when revving da, cand nu e boost ai presiune negativa in admisie cand accelerezi

@@GicaPhp Mulțumesc pentru confirmare. Eu tot pe actuator dau vina, am verificat axul compresorului și nu pare să aibă joc dar nu exclud nici geometria variabila până nu demontez actuatorul. Thank you for the confirmation. I also blame the actuator, I checked the compressor shaft and it doesn't seem to have play, but I don't rule out the variable geometry either until I dismantle the actuator.

@@duoforte1 vezi daca cand o actuezi manual cu pompa de vecuum, cand ajunge la -18mmhg ar trebui sa fie deja la capat si sa mearga smooth. Am curatat multe grometrii variabile
