Traded in my 2018 Tucson for a 2019 SE, just traded that 2019 in for a 2023 SEL. Impressive improvements, larger, quieter, better handling, more power and all the bells and whistles one could want. I remember when I was a kid, people used to call Hyundai, High N Dry. Their cars were terrible and unreliable. Today, they are the third largest automaker by volume (behind Toyota and VW). Toyota always said the one car company they were worried about was Hyundai. Now I know why.

Chinese carmakers are celebrating because they too are going down the same road. 4 years ago, sales of Chinese cars in the European Union were non-existent, and these cars generally had a bad reputation. 4 years later, SAIC is selling over 230,000 units in Europe (without a single factory). And the reputation of the MG brand is very good. C'est la fin des haricots.

​@patrickmball they are actually about middle. I have drove every from Toyota to landrover, hyundia to citron and the hyundia are not bad. Right now I drive a Renault and its almost the worst car I have ever drove. The worst of the worst is Peugeot hands down closely followed by vaxhall.

My 2008 Hyundai Tucson has 130k miles, the 2.0L i4 engine purrs like a kitten and gets upper 20's MPG city driving per tank (US). Not a bad vehicle.

Heh, did you live in California? I bought a 2016 in 2020 that came from there. It had been a buyback but supposedly had the updated done for the transmission. Initially I didn't realize it was the DCT so it was kinda odd to drive, but now that I'm familiar with it, it's been a good car.

I bought mine in Casablanca Morocco in the end of mars 2022. It's a very beautiful car but i had a little mechanic issue : a relatively strong sound in the engine when i make a 90° turn at low speed, they couldn't find what's the origin of this sound. So I'm driving it hoping nothing bad will happen because of that sound until the end of the 5 years warranty. It's Mama Africa. Could someone who owns or build this model around the world tell me what's that if he experienced the same issue or fixed it. Thanks

just one correction, at the beggining in Hyundai Steel service center, coils used are mainly Galvannealed (GA), instead of Galvanized (GI) used generally by the European car makers. Difference Is additional process step of annealing of zinc coating. Both systems Have of course some positives and negatives.
