You should see the Pontchartrain Causeway bridge he filmed. That's the longest overwater bridge in the world.

This actually does not look too bad. Especially if you stay in the center lane. It does not look high and it's not curvy. I have to drive over this in a few months. I've driven on I 10 west over the bayous so I think I can handle this one.

Too bad you did not get the chance to cross the old Huey P Long Bridge in New Orleans before they widened it. It opened in 1935, with double railroad lines on it, double traffic lanes each way that were 9 feet wide, and no shoulders. When a train was crossing, it felt like it was going to shake apart. 150 feet above the Mississippi. They widened it and took all the fun out of it, lol.

The Saint Tammany - New Orleans line is actually about halfway across the bridge...at the 2:39 mark.

Strange the day before Katrina it swayed and had water over it. Was scary but we survived to drive over it another day. ❤I meant the Causeway. From Metairie to the Northshore.
