You melee whiff in that exact spot because it usually happens when you are slightly elevated over your opponent, and those steps are the perfect height to trick you into thinking you can land it. So basically destiny is the opposite of star wars, higher ground ≠ better.

Tbh, a 1v6 in clash is actually easier for the 1 because the max amount the team of 6 can kill is 1, while the 1 can gain 1 or 2 points at a time
