As a resin 3d printer owner I really loved this video. Motivated me to get my own fdm printer for terrain pieces. Terrain out of resin is great but not worth it overall. I think for minis it's best to use resin and terrain use fdm. I will say I strongly think 3d printers will completely swamp miniature producers like reaper and such. The detail and quality and customization that 3d resin provides is undeniable. Considering I can print a HUGE dragon for 6 dollars when a nolzurs or store bought one would cost $40 or more. It'll take time but I think manufacturers will vastly lower cost of minis or at least offer lower cost customizable models. Just my thoughts though. It'll be interesting to watch regardless.

It does make sense for large models, but for smaller ones the amount of cleanup vs cost isn't worth the hassle for me.

Thanks Caleb, these were done on a Prusa Mk2 original. It's pretty old now and quite temperamental. I've just got hold of a Biqu B1 which is both cheap and been producing really great results out of the box for me . Here's my review of it - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJjEZ5KVdqyMn6s

Can you paint the pieces if you don't have colored filament?

Yes, in fact it's usually a good idea to prime and paint as it helps to hide the layer lines from the printing process.
