After seeing this, and having driven this route perhaps 2000 times; this must have taken place on a Sunday morning between 8am and 10am, the only time traffic is like that in Atlanta. You notice the shadows from the vehicles are in the right, sun rises in the east, and car is going south.
@MileageMikeTravels3 жыл бұрын
Bingo! Took about 3 days to time this where the sun wouldn't be glaring too much and the traffic wasn't crazy.

Just in case anyone is interested...Right after that first sign for I-75 when the skyline is visible (at 10:39 ), that is where the 85 bridge caught on fire and a huge section of it collapsed a couple of years ago. I could actually see the fire from my house and heard the collapse. It was beyond a nightmare for traffic for a couple of weeks until people adjusted their time of travel and figured out alt routes. I needed to make a 5min trip to Home Depot the next day that took me a hour and a half to get to (and I know every back road...they were all gridlocked...quite miserable).

Mike, why do you start videos of the Atlanta area from well within the developed area, but other metropolitan areas you seem to start them way out in the rural areas? From where you started this video, you missed about 27 miles of suburban area throughout Gwinnett County. That is, developed parts of the metropolitan area. It seems strange to start a video of the Atlanta area from near Jimmy Carter Boulevard, as stated, that's almost 30 miles from where the suburbs start, and is about 40 miles from where the exurban areas start.
