Fun fact from someone who studied IP in law school: There was a case where a phone book company sued a rival for copying their phone book. They argued that names and phone numbers are public, they couldn't have copied the rival. Company #1 responded with "Bro, we created 20 fake names and numbers. They are in your book too." Now I look at that list of waypoints in the guide, and I see them copied down to the decimal point....

Partial part of the issue here is that it is very clear that English is not Moudi’s main language (from my understanding he’s Swedish (which I am), from a country which has a generally high understanding of English but is not necessarily 100% proficient in it). Add on top of that the fact that he is evidently invested in this and has been agitated for months it seems like if not even longer. I am not surprised the way it’s presented is subpar for his education. And I can almost guarantee that if this video was made in Swedish, on a subject that did not emotionally agitate him as much, it would be much more professionally done and better structured.

@MrTmm97 Жыл бұрын
I play Destiny 2 and when say a new exotic, secret mission, farming strategy for the current event (Halloween event for example.) Usually within hours of the event occurring/beginning 3/4 of the Destiny 2 content creators will all release guides that almost exactly the same… I think this is mainly because the steps in the process are the same. Once in awhile they will shout each other out and/or link their channel in the description of the videos. I’m not saying I believe either side is right or wrong… I do think there we’re definitely some suspicious points he made…however I feel the nature of “guides” almost guarantee that content arising from a given problem/event/activity will inherently be extremely similar because the steps to complete whatever it is will either identical or extremely similar. Despite their content being near identical most of the times for any kind of guide material, I’ve never heard any of the accuse each other of plagiarism. My point in saying all that is I feel there needs to be serious specific examples where one content creator is using some method completely unknown to the community or not guide type content (entertainment for example…not instructional) for it to even be considered possibly plagiarized. It also needs to be a pattern. This whole point he’s trying to make is next to impossible to prove to a point where action can be taken regarding it. 1:21:30 I also think blaming Blizzard for not taking action regarding something that isn’t necessary their responsibility to address is an easy way to undermine your position and make yourself the enemy/bad guy. It’s as if he took all his anger towards the content creator out on Blizzard and it was wrong to do. It may be you felt wronged but in the content creator position … you have to learn to deal with people “copying” content or insulting you and turn the other cheek. Getting caught up in the drama is only ganna hurt your career and mental health. You should simply continue making your own content better and improving it. Eventually if your content is better the public would vote with their view time.

This is my honest opinion: 1. Moudi and MrGM operate in the same space, so they are bound to make the same content as the same info gets fed to both of them at the same time. 2. Moudi posts faster than MrGM, so he starts getting tilted everytime MrGM tails his content. 3. Moudi malds at MrGM and tells him to stop 4. MrGM malds at what he thinks is a ridiculous accusation and decides to begin trolling Moudi 5. MrGM makes fun of Moudi on stream, subtweets him... KEY: He starts going onto Moudi's site and STARTS to copy shit verbatim from the site to repeat it in his own content to troll Moudi. This explains why he has a shit-eating grin every time he copies Moudi explicitly. 6. Moudi malds out and cusses him out on discord directly, eventually leading to this video. I think Moudi schizoed out on MrGM, and MrGM responded by psychotically confirming Moudi's suspicions by trolling him and starting to actually copy his content, making it look like Moudi was right all along.

If he was honest and said, "yeah man these are ideas I came up with so I could make a little bit of money, n this bigger content creator is taking money that could be in my wallet" I'd have atleast had some respect for him for being honest. But people aren't going to his channel because of a multitude of reasons, if he's making the content first surely they'd go watch him right?! Except they don't, they go watch the other guy because they think his content is good/better. Ain't it funny there's one million Mr beast clones yet Mr beast still is the biggest? Not a great example since Mr beast does it first n doesn't copy anyone, but I think my point still gets across. If this dude really wants more viewers and for people to like him, MAKE BETTER CONTENT! And if you truly believe your content is the best it could be, maybe people don't not like the content maybe they just don't like you. Idk I don't think people copying ideas is stealing anyone's content, stealing content is reuploading the same video without the creators permission. I will say I think it's scummy to copy someone's ideas every video, but that's about it. I don't think it's wrong, I don't think he needs to apologize or anything, but it can be scummy. But I mean again, if he's making the content first people should be watching his no? Maybe make your videos better or more enjoyable, or change the way you act to be more appealing to people. All video content creation is a rat race, and whoever is the nicest rat is who most people will support, even if another rat is faster. I have people I've been watching for over 10 years, I'm sure theyve taken video ideas from other people but I don't care, they're funny n I like watching them the most. 42:57 It's funny, but devs do this from time to time. Hell I was a game tester for 10 years, and did this kind of thing during betas. When a game came out that I worked on, I especially liked looking up streams of people playing it. Watching people enjoy something when you took part in its creation gives you a sense of pride. I assume movie stars used to feel like this too. Now they just tell you that you better like it or you're a bad person. I especially liked giving streamers tips or tricks for certain things. Usually, things we used ourselves in testing. Some times, if I especially liked the streamer, I'd even tell them about bugs that I knew hadn't been fixed yet. Usually because I reported it myself and/or new because we were actually testing the fix of it for a future patch (by the time a game releases, we're already working on patch 2 or 3 because of how certification works). I'd especially share the bugs that had funny results and warned of those that could result in a crash or getting stuck so they could avoid it.

Yeah, I just diagree with this. I'm a completionist/trophy hunter, so usually when I'm doing a second or third playthrough for cleanup, I look up guides to help me out (usually for hard to find collectables, or advice/tips on a difficult trophy). There are two instances where I found guides extremely unhelpful and even frustrating and really wanted to make my own, better more fleshed out guides. One instance was for Lost Ember, an Indie title that has huge levels that you have to comb carefully sometimes for the collectables. And the guide was just poorly written for one of these collectables were, saying it was by a tree near the end of the level and that's it. ☠️ There were LOTS of trees in that level; it was just extremely unhelpful and I ended up watching a KZbin video instead. The other example was for Black Desert Online, for this side quest about a hidden cave. And I thought I found it by myself without a guide, the place I found had the exact same name as the quest indicated and I was confused that it wasn't progressing. So I looked up to see if the quest was glitched, or if I had the wrong place. And every "guide" or comment said the same thing: that cave was it and there are no known bugs with the quest. I was thinking I might have to restart on a different character or something. But after, I kid you not, HOURS of searching, I finally found a KZbin video showing a different hidden cave PRETTY DAMN CLOSE behind a waterfall, and eureka, it was what I needed. The video had few likes, and if I remember correctly, no comments. It was not common knowledge, and it seemed extremely hard to dig up from the internet, and I really felt like more attention needed to be brought to it. I have always thought to myself to go back to games I've completed and make my own guides on them, as I usually have to use multiple sources for one thing and it can get tedious. I don't think taking inspiration and using info from other sources to create a better, more cohesive guide or collection of info or gameplay is wrong or stealing. I don't think another person who made a guide needs credited over a game that they had no part in making. Like, are any guide-makers crediting the level designers of the games they're using for clout? I can't recall a single instance of that happening, so I just find this really entitled and hypocritical.
