@@OnlyCascades Have you considered replacing it with Aurelia's Vindicator? Seems like an upgrade to me, the only downside being 2 toughness. (and, if we include the 3 from casting it face down, it costs more.) You can always run it as a second copy, that way you can run 7-mana Skyfisher loops. Unyielding Gatekeeper is a great second Disguise to throw them off the scent, too.

I built a similar deck recently and I highly recommend amulet and concordant crossroads. Have had games where I just combo off and go craterhoof into concordant crossroads and just get lethal that turn. Finale of devastation also facilitates the haste-y strategy, and since most board wipes are sorcery speed I just swapped out a few of those for the haste, tho that most likely made the deck less consistent since if both hasters were on the bottom of my library I could fizzle and get board wiped the next turn.

@OnlyCascades I'd throw an altar of the brood in there for laughs. Gonna get so many mill triggers from lands entering alone. May not win the game, but for 1 mana it sure could inconvenience the rest of the table since it hits all opponents. It's situational, but like I said it's 1 mana. Lol I don't think it's going to set you back much.
@OnlyCascades9 ай бұрын
Ha you know that's not a bad shout, could definitely try it for fun and it might even be good. If you got whitemane combo, you can mill 60ish cards...then you untap and cast whitemane another 30 times to win! I did consider another version of this deck more 'all in' on the combo, with e.g. worldly tutor and such, but I personally prefer my decks to play differently game to game, and altar only helps opponent unless it wins the game. But now I want to try it at least once 🤩@@StarkEpiphany
@StarkEpiphany9 ай бұрын
@OnlyCascades Yeah mill is always a bit of a gamble in commander unless you go full into it but still it has some uses. I do run Altar of the brood in my Krenko mob boss deck. Which gets silly very quickly. Lol The idea of mono red mill is just hilarious due to one simple artifact.

Some of the pet card can be a part of a combo with a sac outlet I am talking about sun titan and saffi. It is not required to do so, just recommendation in case you want to make them part of the plan. An actual recommendation that I like when my commander has important keywords is odric lunarch marshal. Giving all your creatures indestructible in every combat is insane. I had a game with atraxa (4 CMC one) and glissa out. I won that game with 6 spells casted because none of the creature decks on board could get through the flying first strike death touch vigilance lifelink squad. It is not the same but straight up indestructible to all your board so no grull player can get over you sounds great
@OnlyCascades9 ай бұрын
Saffi and Sun are inseparable, in my mind they are pet cards together - if you’re selensya, you can’t play one without the other :D I have odric in another deck, but here Kramer’s isn’t always a creature so it can’t be relied on as much. If i may make a couple points as i am upsessed with making the PERFECT karametra deck. If you're playing devoted druid, vizier of remedies is a MUST as it gives you unlimited mana. Also, heliod the sun crowned + walking ballista is a guaranteed win if not countered. Next, winds of Abandon is a huge help as it clears all boards except your own. emeria shepherd + Sakura tribe elder combo gets all your plains out for free, and they're good cards on their own if you're unable to pull off the combo. Finally, elesh norn, mother of machines is a great card to have as karametra and all etb procs twice, shuts down many of your opponents effects, and has great synergy with many cards in the deck such as making scute swarms effect activate FOUR TIMES for every creature you cast, potentially (easily) getting you 1024 scutes in one turn. Any thoughts on these?
@OnlyCascades7 ай бұрын
So I think a lot of your cards are two card combos which are good if you have tutors, but otherwise you draw them together fairly unlikely is my view. Like Druid is still good but vizier just does nothing. It’s definitely a way you can build the deck and add more tutors but that isn’t how I like to run my decks, plus I’m less keen on tutors and combos in general, so it isn’t how I’d go forward with my build - but it may well be more powerful! Elesh is also very stax-y, which is an effect I try to keep to a minimum. In cedh karametra sure she can come in though!
@kriskolo7 ай бұрын
Oh I didn't think of it that way! Good points, but there's one card that even for your deck is a must have. Dryad arbor. It's a 1/1 forest creature, meaning you have karametra out, play something like birds of paradise, search for dryad arbor, once dryad arbor comes in, all creature and land etbs activate simultaneously, meaning karametra procs again, and search for another land, effectively getting 2 lands for one, and potentially procing something like scute Swarm twice.
@OnlyCascades7 ай бұрын
@@kriskolo Sadly Karametra is a cast trigger, not a creature etb trigger, otherwise it'd be in for sure! As it, it's a cute option to fetch a creature, but it has summoning sickness so I don't really like it enough

Just a quick thing: (2:19) you are not allowed to look at the top card of your library, let alone play those spells while the permanent that allows you to is on the stack. These static abilities are in effect once the spell has resolved and the creature is in play.

My list was a little more mean with using The Great Aurora and Goblin Charbelcher as my primary wincons, assuming I didn't just outvalue the hell out of people with stuff like Tireless Tracker and Bygone Bishop. Also Uncage the Menagerie for X=2 finds any combination of Lotus Cobra, Silvermane Lion, Kor Skyfisher, or if you're just being a terrible person, Devoted Druid, Vizier of Remedies, Duskwatch Recruiter, etc. Also works to just find generically good cards like Selfless Spirit for insurance. Longtime Karametra stan here. The best card I'm not seeing here is Aluren. It's reserved list so it might be out of budget, BUT it kinda just breaks her wide open, especially if the rest of your deck is so low-cmc (basically is just a two-card combo with Whitemane to get all of your lands out). Definitely worth an include if you're on the fence! It might benefit an opponent too, but nine times out of ten you're going to benefit from it significantly more (perhaps running a Kutzil or something to keep your turn interaction free?).

Is there a Budget Version? I have a quite expensive Sythisdeck and would Like to use some if the expensive pieces while investing on a Budget for a functioning landfall Deck
@OnlyCascades8 ай бұрын
I don’t have a deck list made, but this deck can 100% be built for under 100$ and retain the same core concept, possibly 50 at a push.
@Nathanael_Forlorn9 ай бұрын
Very sweet. How does the deck play if it doesn't combo off?
@OnlyCascades9 ай бұрын
You can build more all in, but it’s just a small part of this one. You’re stuff just ramping hard and looking to cast lots of stuff, without lion it’s just different stuff!
@modernviking78008 ай бұрын
I lihe Dust Elemental because you can save Creatures from removal and cast them again =)

So…why no Earthcraft? Looks so perfect for the deck.Any reason for the cut? Maybe budget constraints? But you run a Savannah 🤔
@OnlyCascades8 ай бұрын
Earth craft is 100% great but I hadn’t even heard of the card when I made the video! But yes the budget constrain would stop it - I play savannah because I’ve owned it for 8 odd years before it shot up in price 🤣

Give a try to Torens, Fist of Angels, aka "Cast a creature, get a token"
@SuperRedmerlin9 ай бұрын
Why Saffi instead of Selfless Savior? Karametra doesn't trigger on ETB only cast, and if it's Karametra being removed she's already got indestructable so rarely going to graveyard?
@SuperRedmerlin9 ай бұрын
Also, I'm a really big fan of artifact/enchantment hate in decks that have so few. Collector Ouphe seems like a no-brainer, then Bane of Progress as another creature. Also Creeping Corrosion & Seeds of Innocence are great if you want to really mess w people, but not creatures :)
@OnlyCascades9 ай бұрын
It’s a classic pet combo with sun titan. If sun titan gets destroyed, you sacrifice Saffi, titan dies, then brings Saffi back! It’s fun when it goes off but. It super broken or anything for sure

Two card suggestions. Delney Streetwise Lookout, and Stone-Seeder Hierophant What do you think about them?
@OnlyCascades9 ай бұрын
Delney would actually be really bad - it means your whitemane lion has to bounce two things! Great in response to a board wipe. Otherwise it means you have to pick your whole board up. The return a creature isn’t optional. Stone seeder being 4 mana makes it for awkwardly in the mana curve, we don’t want to cast it turn 3, and turn 4 we’d rather cast multiple things. I think it’s a card to test though and a 1000% include for a budget list :D

@@OnlyCascades some more ideas for you to shoot down. Strixhaven Stadium, Druid's Repository, Helix Pinnacle, Beastmaster Ascension?
@OnlyCascades9 ай бұрын
You can defo build this deck as a helix pinnacle deck - in fact I'd add more basics and remove other stuff for it! The others are very go wide attacking focused, which this deck doesn't actually do a lot despite all the creatures...I am curious abotu the druid's for another deck I'm working on though, cool card@@joedoe7572
@joedoe75729 ай бұрын
@@OnlyCascades Strixhaven Stadium and Beastmaster Ascension should enable it to win by attacking without adding anything else to the deck, similarly to Craterhoof and Moonshaker Cavalry, no? With the Druids Repository, I was thinking to use the extra mana to channel into the buff effects you mentioned to attack for the win
@braydynn33369 ай бұрын
nice! any lower cost alternatives?
@OnlyCascades9 ай бұрын
I don't have a budget decklist to hand, but if you keep the creature count, the combo pieces and play just basic lands, I think you could do a similar list for $50 or so.
