I almost fell for this scam that happened to me just now. Once Chris asked me to change my email, I Googled his name and found out it was a scam and a message on Discord page saying Discord will NEVER ask that. So I screenshotted that and sent it to Chris and started trolling him and then he blocked me.

I just got hacked 3 hours ago. I really fell for it cuz I didn't know discord only contacts you via emails. Now I'm trying my best to get my old account taken down and deleted because I cannot risk any of the private information on it.

An old friend I hadn't spoken to in a LONG time was doing this. As soon as I saw the name of the 'support' person. I googled and found out.

First the steam scam and now, history repeats itself. I fell for this scam and one fake mod asked me to change my email and I was given a long ass email and attempting to dig deep in order to find ways to change my email back to its original glory.

I just got the same scam, they told me to add someone else who works for discord and they wanted my details including my email.

What am I happy I looked up his name. Before he could even fully start I realised they could be scamming me and I looked his name up. Hopefully he can't do anything with my country of origin and date of birth, probably can't!

@@hdquality1782 Yeah no worries I'm fine here They can't do shit withany of your info. Hackers would be able to, but these aren't hackers. They have 0 skills. The only thing they can do is persuade you into doing things which'll give them your account. As long as you don't change your email or password, you are 100% fine!

@@hdquality1782 There's no way that I know of that someone knowing a country and date of birth can access an account. For example, try logging in to your discord account, but only with your birthday and country. You can't.

your discord account is just the gateway. any information your have attached to that account will be used to hack any other accounts you have.

Hey Im really worried because someone said this to me: somebody else had access to my account but he couldn't change my password because 2FA was enabled then he made fun of my discord account and reported few of my friends, including you It is stated here that our accounts could be banned and our IP addresses could be blocked from accessing Discord could you help me explain to Discord staff that the complaints were false? I hope you can help Is it a scam?

I just got hacked because my ex best friend would try to act like me, and my good friend texted me all of it and sounded like him really. I told my online friend said just do it because they are going to need it. we were both tired for staying up all night, so we didn't think anything about it. It got hacked so I changed my email pass, my Microsoft pass just in case it was connected because my old discord was with my Xbox one. I just got a new account and did different/ random passwords for everything.

i got scammed a month ago, falling for the walve steam support scam, after i found out he was scammer, he deleted his discord and steam account, i got my steam account back a day later, and he stole absolutely nothing at all, since there was kinda nothing to steal. so sad. well i know what country they from (Philippines if you wonder)

This just happened to me right now and I think my friend is trying to scam me, I haven't talked to them since May and I think their account has been hacked, I sent an actual appeal with two screenshots to Discord to explain to them it was an accident and there was no way I would've scammed them, I'm a kid.

people who fall for this discord scam yeah im sorry but you have 0 IQ for falling for this i fell for this scam in the past on steam but now i just avoid it so if you get a random friend request on discord or steam and you don't recognize them then decline the friend request IMMEDIATELY
