I LOOKED AT THIS TRUCK WEEKS BEFORE I BOUGHT THE RED DODGE. I MADE AN OFFER AND IT JUST WASNT ENOUGH TO GET THE DEAL DONE. FAST FORWARD A FEW WEEKS LATER AND THEY CALLED AND DECIDED THEY WERE READY TO SELL. I KNEW GOING INTO THIS THAT THIS TRUCK HAD ENGINE ISSUES. A QUICK LOOK AT A FEW THINGS LED ME TO MY CONCLUSION. THE 2011-2014 6.7 POWERSTROKES HAVE SEVERAL WEAK POINTS THAT CAN LEAK TO CATASTROPHIC FAILURES. THIS ONE ENDED UP BEING ONE OF THE STATISTICS AND I MADE MY OFFER ACCORDINGLY. SO NOW THEIR PROBLEM IS NOW MINE.
HERE IS A LINK TO THE 8 POINT TIE DOWN STRAPS I USE:

I like the truck but not the engine. Would strongly prefer a 6.7 Cummins to a 6.7 ford. It's good a pretty nice body. The oil looked horrible. Probably not rebuildable from the look of that oil. A lot of you guys probably won't believe what I have to tell you now. I have a friend who a few years ago bought a 2008 f350 crew cab long bed 4x4 single wheel with a 6.4. Upon hearing that a lot of you are probably already thinking "junk, worst diesel engine ever built". Well he bought it from the original owner who had it deleted at 7,000 miles and took very good care of it mechanically. It currently has 365,000 miles, never had a replacement engine or even any major work. Transmission, transfer case and axles are original too. It's by no means a perfect truck, it has its own little problems like any work truck. The point here is yes the 6.4 isn't a great engine and personally I don't trust them. I just think that particular truck is interesting. It starts effortlessly in winter

Sounds like to me a lot of Chinese Parts in those brand new engine assemblies or made or manufactured in Mexico. A lot of inferior very inferior metal and steel parts and assemblies. If anyone has a problem with how you Overkill on tying down a load all they got to do is get a logistics manual from the US Army any Automotive or truck manual from military vehicles they have tied downloading instructions for transportation. As anyone with any good eyesight has seen on military vehicles if they've paid attention all the shackles on the bumpers front and rear are on the frame rails front and rear that's the only place we ever tied them down for safety and transportation. They have Army manuals for this.

The way the dodge front ends wear out even without a plow on my buddies 2 ram diesels turns me away from them as well .
