Thanks for the walkthroughs, very useful - Personally I use witchwork for Roads because you can pull people into mobs around chests, Normal Arcane I find even better for mists because of purge E - I recently maxed all arcanes and the damage output is very satisfying. Astral staff is also nuts at max spec, but is a bit expensive.

You are correct - similarly I had a blast pulling people to traps in Corrupted Dungeons with the Witchwork ^_^ My issue with 1-h Arcane in mists is that people keep running away if the fight doesn't go their way, and it's quite difficult catching all those bracers and deathgivers :-D On the flipside, fighting against swords becomes significantly easier as 1-h can purge their stacks

@ Try hellion shoes, invis/dash then you can blade for mobility, I’m not sure on them yet but I’ve had some good wins!

I did that in my earlier videos but KZbin analytics told me that people clicked-out during that time, so I figured people are not interested :-D But glad you mention it, yes I think it's foolish to omit it completely. Nex time I will try to think about how to include it without breaking the flow of the video

Tysm! I only really timed it in corrupted dungeons where it was about 2 minutes from entrance to fight. In open world/mists it seems to vary wildly. I thought it depends on the prime time, but I had some really action packed mists on off-timers and some stretches of emptiness on prime timers. From a "feels like" perspective, the mists got a bit emptier after the horizon update & are slowly getting repopulated now

The dodge with q3 is something to consider; the drawback is that it would require me to eat both his q1 and q2 and rack up two bleed stacks About the quick-cast: yes this is the bane of my existence in all mobas xP I'd like to retrain my habits in this manner eventually, but it takes a few days of feeding before my muscle memory gets used to it and I never had the willpower to push through it :D

Popped my boots to keep that ideal distance where I get to hit him and he doesn't get to hit back - I had all my defensives ready for his turn-back at this point

I mean people definitely do that and have success with it, it just depends if you're going smallscale or solo The way you asked the question makes me believe the former So I have actually tried this, equart did something similar and I followed along just for fun and went with a new character and tried to get 4.4 evensong to do some open world with, note that I'm by no means a strong pvper or arcane staff player I've been searching for a weapon to main for weeks now on EU and can't find anything, anyways it went fine, it's just not really comparable to something like: Battleaxe, bearpaws or a bloodletter as a example, the big problem in solo openworld with this weapon is that it shines in smallscale & ZvZ as it's debuff on it's E is handicapped if you're going solo since it specifically is made to be used against groups, this makes you take unfair fights to begin with and since you don't have a team backing you, you need to build into a soloish build which is even less optimal for the weapon, idk about how it performs in mists but I'd expect it to perform a lot worse, for open world it works, it's not bad but also not good, so you can have success with it, but objectively you're better off using 1h or witchwork
