You are doing an excellent job! Please keep working on it! You clearly have enormous skills in your work and passion for football, what you are doing is the dream of many football fans like me. I'm tired of triple-A soccer game development companies only thinking about microtransactions and online modes. Many fans simply want a game that strives for realism. I have tried several times to develop a football game on my own, I have uploaded my projects to itch ('Football Arena' and 'Serie A Football'), but I don't have the skills needed to make it as realistic as I would like. I have hoped many times to find someone who had the same goal as me but was much better than me at trying to achieve it. Take all the time you need, you have all my support! I discovered your channel today and it made my day!

I would've liked to see some clips without the highlighting glowing parts of the net as it was very hard to see how it reacted. There was some uncanny feeling to when the ball hit the net but maybe that was only because it was hard to see. Anyway, by this rate of improvement we we might have the next FIFA/EAFC contender by next year!

Yeah I agree, fifa stopped developing or evolving after fifa16 the rest are copy paste garbage with tweaking and delusions. Honestly anyone who wants to beat EA can really do it and produce a better mechanical football game, EA is still relevant & alive because of the ultimate team and the gambling fantasy they offer to consumers, their quality of gameplay fell off years ago
@spooky46559 ай бұрын
@@renolife you definitely don't know what you are talking about, their sports game engine literally won multiple award in recent years, no one can come close to them especially only using unity or unreal engine We can shit on them all we want, but we got to agree that they have the best game engine for sports game, especially football.
@renolife9 ай бұрын
@@spooky4655 even though i didn't say their engine is trash but i get your point, all i meant is because they stopped caring for how the gameplay works and how it used to satisfy the consumers as a purchase to find the joy of playing a really great football game mechanically, that would be the biggest motivation one can look into achieving when making a new football game. nowadays EA don't fully use their engine in improving the gameplay like how they used to rather they focus on unnecessary upgrades without fixing the core problems simply because they can afford to.

Slightly off topic but I’ve been surprised how slow the cloth evolution has been in modern sport games. The PS3/360 era took a giant leap, espcially in NBA games but if you look at modern FIFA games for example, I find the physics and materials to be quite artificial. There’s always too much bounce and stretch, which gives a feeling of weighty rubber or so. It’s cool to see you put effort into these type of details and maybe you’ll end up making the fifa cloth physics look ancient with this project. Good luck!

For the animation system, there's a paper on using machine learning to train models to walk, run, and dribble based on video data. This will massively increase the realism factor.

@WilliumBobCole9 ай бұрын
This looks pretty great except it feels weirdly stiff in places and after rewatching, it seems the entire top of the net is pinned on all edges?... if it is possible, I would say only the front edge at the frame of the goal mouth should be pinned, and otherwise should be free to hang, held up only by physically simulated strings at the corners, you have the poles for those strings in place already so idk why they are not functional? Unless there is some complexity in extending the cloth mesh at a corner like that...
