@@ObviousDev once you harvest a crop on fertilized soil the soil should no longer be fertilized that way you have to keep adding fertilizer

Suggestion: The Second planet is about digging to the core because its the only way home but its not that only, add some different types of suites like: Regular space helmet Air: 50 Bio: just a regular helmet

I agree that the god ray's definitely make 2D (and 3D games) way nicer! I've yet to try it out in Unity but it adds nice polish to your game! Like the fertilizer also :)

Since you are adding some polish to the game, I would recommend that for the main menu you make the background animated as it makes the game feel alive and polished.

I agree the god rays provide some really nice polish! I'm a pixel art noob, but maybe you can tweak them further by introducing slight gradients to the rays? :)

Concering the God Rays: Wouldn't they move with the clouds? Because as far as i can see they are kinda stationary at this point while the clouds are clearly moving.

Yeah, that's true. But that would also look kinda weird so I went with this not very accurate approach ^^

@@ObviousDev isn't it possible to implement an "if cloud=no ray"-kind of thing? Otherwise you'll have sunlight if it is pouring, which is kinda odd :D

God rays should be cast over crops and generally onto anything you can modify or mess with imo

Thanks :) No, not really - since I'll work on it in my freetime only it will take some time. I would love to release an alpha build this year but who knows what's possible. We'll see :D

I feel like you're going to run into issues trying to load in an entire world's worth of objects from a JSON file in one go... are you using any sort of chunk loading system? Have you attempted to load in a fully populated world? Is there a delay in saving/loading? I guess it's not so much of a problem on a high end PC but I imagine low end PCs won't be able to run the game very well with thousands of objects having to load in

Hi there :) Big fan of your work! At the moment I don't have any kind of chunk system. Loading takes a moment and I know there is a lot of potential for optimiziation. I want to look deeper into chunks and figure out if that's something that could help me in this regards.

Lmao loading and saving is one of the most boring things to work on 😮‍💨. I’ve been working on a JSON utility to serialize anything generically and it’s been a good 4 months of work that I still haven’t finished 😂. I hate serialization tho, literally the reason why I did this: I will do a good job ONCE, and never touch it again 😂
