What is so awesome about Dylan is that his songs have an almost eternal life. When he records a song, it doesn’t end there. His songs go on these journeys where they change shape and always sound new and exciting. No other performer does that.

At 3:52, Dylan spots the camera and glares at the "person who shot the video"! I'm glad he didn't stop singing to yell at the audience for taking pictures like he recently did. Imagine him interrupting this great performance!

I've watched this 100 times..it will never get old..only better.. he's no Frank Sinatra or Eric Clapton...thank Good he's Bob Dylan..!!!
@dewimatthews Жыл бұрын
Whenever anyone compares Dylan to anyone you just realise how incomparably wonderful he is. Sinatra and Clapton don’t come anywhere near. Clapton is a predictable proficient player...when they played together Dylan played lead. What did Sinatra write besides My Way?

Sinatra was moved by Dylan's brilliant "restless farewell "at Sinatra's 80th

his best band was THE BAND,,,, no doubt about it
@pentelikos7 жыл бұрын
I think I originally wrote "not including THE Band" but lost it in an edit or something. Even so The Band were playing with him when he was at his height - Larry Campbell and co were brilliant in providing the catalyst for a new phase of creativity and inventiveness and finding new ways back into, not just his own songs, but the numerous covers he did too. That's not taking anything away from The Band, who were fantastic.

Bob Dylan in rare form as the song and dance man... I do think this is the best I have seen of him looking great playing around and sounding incredible... I seen him recently in New York at The Beacon and nothing will ever come close to actually seeing him in Concert...This video is very close...maybe it is the acoustic guitars, the dance moves, the harmonica, the clearness of his voice and charm of his mischievous side throughout the entire song...

And the things that happen lead to questions… Bible based teaching says God has more in His Mind than we could ever imagine. And He just might be saying that letting go hurts so much because He’s trying to close the door our fingers are stuck in.

Love the beginning of this performance with Larry playing and Bob and Charlie still strapping up. Makes it easier for a novice to "pick apart" who's playing what and what it sounds like. To think that these 2 great guitarists would give up so much time to accompany Bob.. just shows how much they liked the songs. And the pay. Goodbye is too good a word.
