The first half of this was like the setup to a found footage horror movie. You’ve got your attractive lead. There’s the isolated locale. The tour guide leading you deeper into it. The locals who only speak by cutting the leaves from tree branches. All of it to offer up a spot of tea that may or may not be cursed. I know I’m not the only person who was like “don’t drink that tea.” Of course it was harmless, and the second half was more open. It wasn’t as tightly cropped and the mood was lighter. It ended up looking less like a sightseeing trip and more of a full on fun time. Hope Melli’s able to get back there someday and really feel the place out at a more relaxed pace.
