Hey Biffa, unlock all tiles and web lots of windy roads with a whole load of tiny villages. Then slowly build up each village over the episodes. This would give you the non uniform look of the UK and would be massively authentic 😊

The single good thing about the end of CS1 development is that our cities will stop breaking once mods stabilise. I'm still developing my transitional city (on the road to 150k now), but I should clean up the assets and start a new, more ambitious, project these next few months. And the best thing is that I know I'll be able to spend six months or more on it without the fear of a new DLC breaking my mods and my city with it. Lost so many detailings to breaking that I just stopped doing it and settled for basically landscaping. Now I actually intend to detail my main stuff again.

Hi Biffa, I'm glad your videos are back. I'd love it if you'd make a manor and farming estate in this city! I live in the countryside and I've never seen a KZbinr make one. I think it'd be a fun challenge to create the farm fields, nature passages, shooting areas, estate cottages, etc.

You forgot the gennels/jennels/ginnels through the terraces again! Every terrace needs at least one gap for nipping through to the back, or an alley or footpath through from one side to the other.

Yaaay so excited about British Cities Skylines 1 city!! Remember watching Blightea just two years ago when I started my Cities Skylines journey, now this beginning of the new series feels like homecoming! Can't wait to see how this new UK city develops and grows 😍 I've stuck to CS1 for now, still working on my UK city that I started in Sept 22 so will be eager to have this CS1 content coming!

Excellent!! CS1 is back, UK city is back, what more could you ask for...?? It's great that this is a UK build, too many generic looking American cities in both CS1 and 2, I'm really looking forward to seeing this progress. Since your using UK roads, can you possibly swap out those horrible vanilla streetlights on your residential zones for something a bit more British looking? Also, the big multi level junction... single lane exits are fine but the entry lanes onto the roundabout need to be at least 2 or 3 lanes wide. You may even need to add spur roads eventually, this junction is going to be handling a lot of traffic into your industrial area and commercial area so plan ahead and try to future proof the junction. In the UK, timed traffic lights are often added too. Also, don't forget British cities are basically starting from the centre outwards, older buildings in the centre going to newer ones on the outskirts, you might want to observe this in the district styles you choose.

I've really missed seeing a proper CS1 series and since CS2 came out last year and despite my best efforts really couldn't get into any CS2 content no matter who was doing it. I'm not a PC cities player so don't know if it's a thing or not, but it would be great if there's a mod to have industry mixed in with housing without the negative problems. Be good to see some industry along housing streets, like the odd factory or something, just to add that extra realism! Can't wait to see the rest!

It's absolutely fine to have mish mash of building styles next to each other. Most British towns from Inverness to Penzance are like that! It's only 30s house building boom and later postwar council houses that were uniform. Most building since has been around these big estates.

Not many things better than a CS1 fully modded British Biffa city... music to our ears! You just cant replicate anything like it in CS2! Already looking brilliantly Blightea! Love the gardens but the terraced houses are two houses per single cell, so each garden is shared by two houses... 🤔

I understand you start with the arterial road there from the junction, but make sure you keep space to make a ringroad around the map, so over time you can delete the motorway through the middle. A bit like real life Valencia where they reclaimed the land where the river used to be and changed it into a park.

I think you need a couple of access roads to split up the long lengths of terraces. Maybe 10 or so terraced houses then a cut through road then more terraced houses. Just thinking about how they were when I lived in York.

That UK substation is broken. Why would you build anything else? It costs less per MW both to build and upkeep, produces no pollution, and consumes no water. You could plop 8 of those down and have the same output as a coal plant at 42% of the initial cost 5% of the upkeep cost (26% the initial cost & 8% the upkeep cost of 5 wind turbines).

Biffa, please please please, can you set the vehicles properly so they don't all travel at the same speed? A UK lorry is limited to 56mph normally, and cars travel lot faster. Hope you see this!!!

Nice to have you back with CS1. Ever since the launch of CS2 my CS1 broke and fails to load from Steam so I can no longer play. Shame since I paid full price for it. CS2 is so buggy I will not purchase it. And that being said there was no longer a reason to watch your CS2 videos. My CS life became a complete desert. So welcome back. Building a city over that lovely countryside would be a crime. You should build a series of small towns and rural communities instead.

Building one big city and tons of small towns and villages has always been my dream, but people never really want to live in the latter because they're far away from the big city, and I don't want to add big fire- and police stations and hospitals in them, because that would defeat the whole idea and aesthetic. Haven't played in over a year and still figuring out the best way to build what I want...

@@Moredhel83 Having a train station in the community should help, as well as easy access to a commuter route, or better still build some small scale offices in the area to provide them with jobs. You can also download British themed workshops and woodyards which you always see in rural areas as industrial centres.
