JB Weld around the tank stud welds strengthens them alot preventing breakage.
@ColdStartGarage2 жыл бұрын
That’s a pretty good idea!

Well just wasted 25$ on recoating that tank lol! wont fix when weld cracks! Add some 1/4 nuts or standoffs to each post and tighten the clamps down till they rest on nuts. prevents post shift that cracks the welds....

I replaced the tank. The red-kote was bought last year. I coated a brand new tank and took it easy on the mount hardware and put a bead of sealant to secure the tank better. Thank you for the view

Hey my dude you don't have to cut and reweld your mz65. All you gotta do is eye it up and bend it out until it fits right. Heat it up in the spot where your gonna be bending it and it will bend easy. I didn't have a propane torch so I had to do it the hard way. But I got it done. I think they built it around the gas tank frame that they sell.

He thanks for the info. I have not done anything to it yet. I’ll look into it. It’s been on the back burner for months

See if extending the front engine mount helps, I have a bike currently where the runner cannot get a straight shot without it(also a cruiser), I had a busted case i used to cut the front mount off of and I bought bolts long enough to run through them and drilled them out. You may even just be able to buy one of those cnc clamp style mounts as well if the outer diameter of the down tube matches up with one. Their cheap too but haven't heard anything bad about them.

I recommend heavy duty Loctite for every bolt and nut that you have in that motor

I agree 💯 with this

Ignorance is the parent of fear jerry. Not sure if you went out of your way to insult me or it just comes natural. Thanks for the view and comment. 🏁

Believe it or not the stock pipe can produce more horse power then the over priced leg burner
@ColdStartGarage2 жыл бұрын
I believe it. But I got to try it. It’s part of the fun
@OddBallPerformance2 жыл бұрын
No. Just, no. If that were true all of the fastest bikes out there would be running stock pipes and not proper expansion chambers. There is more than a few videos online that demonstrate the difference between even the cheap MZ65 clone and a stock pipe in terms of acceleration and top speed once the fueling has been adjusted for the new pipe.
@ColdStartGarage2 жыл бұрын
@@OddBallPerformance I like where your head is at! you have great points. Im still going to install the clone at some point. I have jets for the carb. Fun will be had by all
