Actually in ics u they have soem pretty cool stuff in those heart wards alot more ppl incuding myself had the same thing n walked out. So that would scare someone hearing that especially when nits not the right info. We didn't take a massive heartattack we had a blockage aka a clot got caught in mild build up on his battery dame as me I have two spots where it coudl happen again hence rhe ends I'm on n he may too. What nurses should be sayin is even if your young do a ecg even if you think u are OK do one to mske sure you don't have build up n talk 81 kids aspirin on a day from her eon out no matter how well you feel it'll save your life if u do get a block. Ppl need ro be more informed. This is a differnt type of heart attack n lots of ppl have survived more ppl than u can imagine cuz we have some of the best heart drs. I felt them blast my veins for all clots incuding thr crazy ine I had ansnit wasn't small. I went months weeks like that n had no idea I was having angina until it hit a full-blown heartattack. So telling ppl with widow maker block barley mske it. That's just not true n I don't mean to be offensive so plz do t tske me that way but this kinda sruff scares ppl n they don't go in for thst reason alone I know I was bullheaded n I didn't go in I just told my dr n all my blood pressure tests never came out bad. So she had no idea I even had an ecg long before this happen n again nothing no build up no clot etc. Mine came from a spider veins where I had a lumolp n it runs in family too soemthing I never new u til a few weeks ago I just thought we had issues eith hearts. Boy was I wrong n I could have prevented it sometimes its silent but alls it takea is one clot. Most ppl who may have this type just don't go in until it's too late is the real issue. They save more lives from window makers rhan theybdo with heartfailure so that's just not true n my aunts a nurse as well n my cousins are ems. N my dad had a real crazy heart attack n a mild one. His heart even grew another vein n it saved his life something they've never seen before. They save many lives especially ppl our age. Stay positive and keep trucking u got a full life ahead of u n so do I.

@@rerunplaya532 Smoking literally narrows and constricts your arteries which limits your blood flow. It is by far the worst thing you could do for your body. Light smoking wont kill anyone but heavy smoking will over time. My mom had severe heart failure and aortic valve stenosis and ended up losing her right leg from peripheral artery disease last year. And was scheduled to lose her other leg but she passed away before she could have it done. She was a two pack a day girl for 40+ years. Changing up your diet will help with a lot of things. But quitting smoking will make a far greater impact. Or at least cutting *WAY* back

We were told to come back good bye. 4 years later he is alive he was told he would never walk again. He rode his Harley to the spot of the accident at which his entire life changed. He fought the odds. He is the honest hardworking toughest son of a bitch I know. He’s a wonderful father and husband. He was recently diagnosed with cancer. He still goes and chops his elderly neighbors wood for them even after chemo. After everything his body and mind have been through he gives 100 after everything especially serving others. This is bonus time. You're pretty young for this to happen, as you've mentioned. It sounds like your wife's encouragement helped save your life. If so many things had been different you might have had a less fortunate outcome. There may be some big changes to your life, relationships, and how you engage in some of your favorite activities. But this is bonus time. You've been given more time with your family, spouse, and loved ones. Last year I was flown down to Albuquerque and underwent cardiac surgery. At the time I was 47, so a little older than you. When those things happened it felt like I had little choice about the hospital I went to, the doctors who would treat me, or the timiing. So many people are invovled in the process that you just have to have faith in. Those first moments outside of the hospital felt weird. Choice had returned. Freedom was back. It may not feel like it right now but you've been given the most precious gift: more time.

Typically we find that out after your gone. I love your channel! The number 1 thing is to never pick up another smoke again and live your life! So very glad that you made it and that your wife was the voice of reason ( not that you're not) but that's what we do. Live on! Congratulations on the first major step in your recovery, surviving a widowmaker blockage and heart attack. I hope that anyone who smokes, watches this and realizes the very REAL and imminent danger smoking puts on your body. It's literally poisoning yourself each puff. In my line of work, I see it every day and I see early, untimely and unnecessary deaths. Best of luck to you, though it sounds like you've got that lady on your side already!

Had a heart attack at 33 in June of 2020. In shape, no drugs or smoking. No blockage though. Can't help but to feel like Covid really messed with our bodies. Glad to hear you quit smoking. Consider getting a monitor watch like a Fitbit and cheap at home blood pressure monitor. I basically recovered all the way after a few months and was out hiking against doctors orders. Keep an eye on your body but you might be able to get off meds and back to being near full active. The fat lady hasn't sang yet. Much love brother.

I went through the same thing almost 10 yrs ago. Pressure in the chest, pain between shoulder blades..etc..went to E.R. And my enzymes were at 7.9. They transferred me from one hospital to another. I was put up in intensive cardiac care or when they took my blood again I was now at a 10 still in heart attack mode. I will tell you right now your life has now changed your cigarette. Smoking has to stop your drinking is no more and the foods that you eat are now going to have to be, more leaner meats than before. I’m going on 10 years still with us, and don’t get frightened if you find yourself having to go back to the ER because something is going on and it scares you thinking you’re going to have another heart attack and you’re back in the ER and you’re gonna find out you’re OK I did that for the first six months after my heart attack, certain things are gonna scare you and you’re gonna have to run to the ER but you wanna make sure that you’re not having another heart attack . You’ll be fine. You just gotta changer your style of living now, but you’ll be OK.

Hey buddy, Don’t get too discouraged. The doctors are extremely cautious when something like this happens, but what was wrong is now fixed and I’m sure they looked over everything closely. As you recover, things will get back to normal, sure you will have to maybe take some precautions, but you are so blessed, you are going to get to keep doing what you love soon (minus the smoking of course but just get a bag of tootsie pops) My sister-in-law had the same thing happen to her at 58 and that was 6 years ago, she walks 2 miles with my wife and I now just about every night. You would never know anything happened to her. There is a KZbin guy, I think called random adventures had a heart attack some time back and now he is out there going everywhere. Check him out! Hope you find encouragement in this extremely too long post. Praying for you buddy! Michael

@@commonsense3333 I’m sorry, but it is true eating a lot of red meat and processed foods and all that sodium will cause you to have a heart attack. My internal medicine doctor has been one for 30 some years before that he was an ER doctor and he told me you know what don’t eat a lot of red meat a lot of sodium process foods and so forth because I’ve been smoking since I was 14 and I’m 56 years old now so yeah I don’t think that cigarettes had anything to do with his heart attack, but I am the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray of healing.

She quit smoking cold turkey, as she wasn't allowed to leave the bed for 3 weeks, I quit cold turkey at the same time. No, it's not easy, and there are days I still want one, but we're made of stronger stuff! You got this! Plenty of rest, take it easy! I know it feels like it sucks, especially for someone who's always on the move, but you're alive. That matters! What you feel - that matters, and how you feel is completely valid. I'm just glad you can tell us yourself and it's not Mrs. Quady making a community post. Listen to your doctors, do what they tell you is necessary. You'll heal faster and stronger if you do! And leave the stogies alone! You don't need them anymore!

I had a similar situation a couple of years ago. After returning from the gym, I felt too tired and believed I'd overdone it on the pecs machine. A family member convinced me to go to urgent care, where an EKG revealed I'd had a heart attack. Like you, I had a stent put in. But you'll be fine. In many ways, placing a stent is more like high-tech plumbing than surgery. Having loving and supportive family members is a key to recovery - and you sure have that. Sensing healing vibes your way, buddy!

I'm 53 and this is one of my fears. My family has a history of heart disease. I quit smoking because of health reasons after 35 years of being a pack a day smoker and now I'm healthier than I've been in decades. I did quit drinking too (I was a pretty heavy drinker). Don't see the things you can't do anymore when you think about it, see all the things you can still do because you're still alive and have another chance. Do whatever the doctors tell you to do. From a random stranger in Canada, I'm glad you're still here. You help make the world a little more enjoyable, and that's important these days

Glad you're OK dude! I quit smoking ten years ago after 34 years of the nasty habit and it was hard, not gonna lie but you gotta take it craving by craving and distract yourself. Have lots of snacks like grapes and small things that you can busy yourself with when cravings hit. There is no quick fix but if you're really serious about quitting you can do it. Good luck Quady and enjoy your new life as a non smoker.
