Really enjoy truck camping during thunder storms. Two other positive parts of this outing. One, drinking a beer available in most states and two, not throwing out the two green cups in your Stanley cook kit. Most people leave them at home so they can nest fuel or stoves etc. in the metal cup. They are great cups to actually use for coffee. Thick enough to be able to pick up bare handed with boiling coffee and small enough that your coffee is still warm at the end. Then on to your second cup. Keep up the good content.

There is something about travelling to parts unknown to go camping on a day when the weather suddenly changes from dry and partly cloudy, to a steady downpour of rain with the added bonus of wind, thunder and lightening. When the skies really opened up at 1:45 AM, was also amazing. Those were some heavy rain drops, for reals.

Mount Olive makes a jalapeno small chips that are good on everything. You don't have to cut them up like the slices. They are available at Walmart and a large jar is around $3.00. Also if you haven used peppers from Hatch, they are the very best of all. They come from Hatch New Mexico, the chili pepper capitol of the world. Hatch is the brand on the container.

Well we just recently had the best storm we've had in probably 3 or 4 years and it was a bunch of lightning a little bit of wind a little bit of thunder and it was done fairly quickly. I miss those damn long thunderstorms I really do. I could do without the tornadoes and any shape or form but I really miss the thunderstorms. Just goes to prove that the jet stream has shifted.
