@@hefxsakfkwma3329 If you want to get technical, real pirates rarely if ever attacked each other. Most of the time they were just one ship and they would attack merchant vessels. But if two pirates did happen to come across each other, they would most like band together to make taking down a target easier. Little known fact, they would also rather not sink an enemy ship because if they let it stay afloat they would be able to take it back to port and sell it, and make more in a single day than they normally would in an entire year.

11:12 he is contributing, the harpoon does an good amount of dmg, but the dps depends on the distance, as you can shoot more often per second the closer you get to the target. at point blank the harpoon just becomes a dps "machinegun" outdamaging everything in the game xD but in this case the damage could be way higher if they get the ship closer.

I think everything we see in this video is staged. You can see that these guys didn't really try to kill Mason, but they behaved like complete idiots. KZbin is full of channels where people agree in advance to give in to each other and make a cool video that will then be passed off as real.

TL;DR It was staged. Unfortunately it's at least partly real. Around the 8 minute mark I was the one he was shooting at, and was part of the crew. It was a 16 hour session and I was completely out of it. Plus we were on an AUS server so my ping was 300. We sold the athena chest at reapers for no reason at all and I was triggered so I was just going to call it a night after he tucked on the ship. I told them he wouldn't just walk away (but they were saying he did), then logged off because I had a feeling we would get robbed and didn't want to end it on a worse note. You're probably wondering why everyone was blind and didn't notice him hiding. Well with shadows and settings maxed, he was actually extremely well camouflaged in that cloudy/dark weather. In the video he looked very obvious, but that was not the case. As for how the ship sank so fast? I have no clue, maybe the new 3rd crew member (the one that said twitch prime to him at the end) threw it for the crew. As he was the one that linked us to this video. Update: I've been informed that the 3rd that replaced me was in-fact in on it, and intentionally sunk our ship with a keg for him. Well that's sad news.
