I was on the same sloop that he boards at the 9:30 mark yesterday. Captain allianced up with us, I snuck onto his boat and he left the game, I ended up just sailing his boat to an outpost and selling all his commodities. What a weird coincidence.

I swear, the pve in this game is annoying af. Every time a pvp situation happens in my recent experiences(last few weeks of sessions), some form of pve just has to interject itself.

Rare’s version of “balancing skill sets” if I attack a new player on sight, I’m pretty much guaranteed to get megged or skelly ship right in the middle of it. It’s more of a nuisance if anything and occasionally the enemy team will accidentally shoot the skelly ship causing it to fire on them. So if anything you could get a little extra help from the common enemy.

Tbh the Tall Tales are a snooze. You kinda have to make your own fun in this game. You either love it or hate it. I know I love it but I’ve been playing for years. Since season 7 I believe. Not too far back but the game has really changed a lot and there are a lot of new players recently with the PlayStation release. If you have any basic skill with FPS games and you learn how to manage a sloop solo, you will most likely have a good time. Remember sinking/dying doesn’t mean it’s over. The amount of times I’ve come back from being sunk to continue my mission or sink and steal my loot back from the guy that caught me off guard is ridiculous. Also don’t go to do Hourglass PVP right away. Since it’s competitive, everyone is a sweat lord. I know I turn into one when I do HG. It can be frustrating especially if you have no combat experience as a solo in the open world. Try and sink a few player ships and do the skeleton fleets as well as sinking skeleton ships when you get the chance. I’ve found this can really help with preparing my aim before I do a few HG matches.
