After spending three weeks at home in Germany it was time for me to return to southeast Asia, return to Malaysia. I had a long traveling day with a transit in Istanbul and after arrival at the airport in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia the situation got really bad for me at the immigration counter...

Germany, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Germany, Malaysia... some of these are Golden Triangle for drug production and distribution. Malaysian immigration is tough on drug. Carrier will get death penalty by hanging.

This sometimes happens when one travel to many countries within a period of time and also because you were in Malaysia just a few weeks ago and now returning. That probably triggered ‘red flag’. Just a normal process to verify authenticity of a traveller.

Agree, the Immigration officer was "suspecting" that the visitor might be working illegally in the country for a short period of time and left for other countries and now returned. That was why the officer also checked his KZbin videos to verify. This shows that the officer was doing his job responsibly instead of being a Rubber Stamp Machine. Anyway, Welcome Back Again to Malaysia.

Oh gosh, the problem started at the Malaysian lmmigration whereby you were almost denied entry. So sorry for those inconveniences. Glad that everything was settled, including your bag which arrived safely after a day/24 hours of journey. Good that you are more careful this time with your camera bag 😂😀 As the saying goes :- "Once bitten, twice shy". Anyway, welcome back to Malaysia again. I think you got on the "Watch List" for some reason. One time..i got pulled away into a special cubicle in LAX..on my trip to Portland. I've made this trip a number of times before without a hitch. But this time, it scared the crap out of me. TSA agent called their superior and they checked my handbag and body searched me. I was petrified. At first they refused to tell me why..but then i insisted they tell me so that i would not commit the same mistake again. Finally the officer told me that i was in their "Watch List". Whenever a passenger make a - last minute flight arrangement - request a change of seat etc etc... he/she will get into the Watch list. My mistake was making a last minute arrangement....like 1 or 2 days before flight. Bcos of 911, they're taking no chances.

OMG... it's scary with the LAX. The custom clerks have had gone vicious. Don't know why they started to scold the passengers - open up your bags right now!!! We were all going to open up the luggages but they just wanted to yell the hell out and be on our way out of LAX.

Unfortunately at the time of entry, you did go to many countries...and some of which were having difficult political times. I believe it might be a random check and therefore, you just got the unhappy check. I believe it might be a more thorough check in Singapore, but anyway...with all the hassle...and bad mood through immigration, I hope you have a better one tomorrow. Hi Ken, welcome back to Malaysia. Oh, you are staying at Hilton Garden Inn, Puchong, nearby my place actually. Next to the hotel there is 1010Grocer Mart and that place also selling food. Or else since you like roti canai, you might walk a few minutes to Syed Bistro Restaurant next to the Puchong Perdana LRT Station. There are plenty of mamak food in that restaurant and the Teh Tarik is superb.
