The Z is traditional push to start. The key hole is for starting the car if the key fob has died. The 2007-2012 Altimas were the same way. 😊

I've had many Z's, loved them all. Something about that one is off, be careful. I say YES on the SMART car. Cheap fix, quick flip. Nice walkaround Randy.

many people just do shock absorber retrofits the air suspension was a poor design

Rock Auto has a full suspension switch for $400. The air suspension compressor replacement is only $200.

I had a 95 Continental in that same color but mine had the console shifter. The dash is actually a projector/mirror. When it was cold it would be dim and would brighten up as it warmed up. Was a nice car but wasn't a head turner.

The Lincoln would be a cool and quick power tour car fix the rear suspension, crank up the power on the 4.6. Delete the mufflers , chrome rims , and send it.

My son-in-law bought a Toyota at a used car dealership. It looked really nice and ran pretty well. Several months later, he started having lots of trouble with it. I was doing some work on it to help him out, and I Googled the VIN trying to find some info for a parts version and came across the auction pictures of a badly wrecked car that matched the VIN I had run. A few months ago, I was driving past the little airport in our town, and there was a nice looking car for sale, so I stopped to look at it. As I started back down the road I decided to Google the VIN and turned around. The VIN came up with wrecked car pictures with VIN matching the car I was looking at. Now I always Google the VIN on any car I'm interested in.

I had 370 z before from auction from Durant Oklahoma 2 years ago Oklahoma i was wondering why ppl wouldn't bid on it anymore after $300 look perfect and seem noting was wrong untill run report on it and person who was selling it at auction refuse to take $300 and want it $3000 i got vin and did report and found out it was rebuild and was in accident 7 times own by 17 people

As a former owner of a Z car there not very good mine had 15,000 miles and the water pump went out 3. Times there not great cars I'd stay away from it

My Grand Marquis air bags went out and it was cheaper to replace the springs and add regular shocks.

Had a 97 Continental - best couch on wheels - Since I can't link to a website here just wanted to comment on the suspension. The bags are a simple fix and I got mine actually out of a junk yard. The line leaks are a bit more difficult. The sound of that pump is a concern. It may work if you can patch up any leaks and get working bags. Takes 5 min to switch a bag out and the hardest part is the retaining clip. There is a lever at the bag to deflate them and they pop right out then. To keep the ride, it is worth fixing the air suspension. Glad you are feeling better.

Hi Randy, You are looking much better. That Z is a nice-looking piece of junk. The Smart car was the victim of a severe rear-end collision. I'm sure the bike owner was also charged with DUI. That Lincoln 'Land Cruiser' is worth $200-250.

I had a black 99 Lincoln Continental.. never had any problems with the 32 valve.. not even a coil ! I beat the ball bag outta the car lol it was fun.. air suspension never gave me any trouble.. I would load up the trunk with way more weight then I should have.. I literally put a 40 gallon rv water tank in the trunk.. filled it up and also a few deep cycle batteries and 30 lb propane tank in the back seat ! It took it all , was a bit sketchy travelling at 70 mph for nearly 3 hrs. Lol the transmission I replaced the torque converter and the valve body.. took 45 mins to pull the transmission..

If you can find another Lincoln with front end damage but good rear suspension, and swap out the rear suspension into that one, job done. Then you can sell off any surplus parts from the damaged one.

Hello Randy. The 2009 Nissan is a good looking car with a rebuilt title. The 2013 Smart 320 is a decent looking car even though it's got damage on the rear end.

The replacement airbags for the Lincoln only cost $30 per bag , .. I remember when these cars cost crazy money to replace the airbag system. Now it doesn’t cost 💩.. i would never convert the air ride to springs . I would just order the airbags online and call it a day .

On the Lincoln, I think you can replace or bypass the air suspension with struts and shocks from a Taurus. I remember the generation before that was practically a fancy Taurus

Yeah walk away from this one. But as to the fob slot, we have a 2008 Nissan Altima and there's a slot for the fob. You can drive the car without putting the fob in it's spot, but the car will beep at you the whole time

the only thing worth anything on the z would be the motor after being wrecked if it seriously has 19k miles and nothing has been messed with. but even though i'm not a ford fan i would take the lincoln over the smart. also can the public bid on any of the cars?
